Job Duties and Responsibilities Work with the Business Intelligence team and upper management to develop Power BI reports and Dashboards Work with cross-functional teams and collaborate well with others Design Support and Implement key datasets and visualizations Debug troubleshoot and monitor existing Power BI issues Creating functional requirements design delivery providing accurate development estimates and maintain dashboards as well as tabular reporting in Power BI and or Tableau Ability to create BI reports based on inputs from a variety of data sources Ability to write complex DAX queries in Power BI Desktop Basic understanding of Microsoft Azure Handling row level security RLS of Power BI reports Create complex visuals calculations and reports in Power BI and publish it on Power BI online Publishing of visuals to stakeholders Works closely with Product Owners and data development teams to drive requirements to completion Works closely with Power BI report users to tune and optimize Power BI reports and dashboards Assist with building Data Analytics enterprise models using various technologies including SQL Oracle Hadoop etc Develop update and maintain technical training documentation and maintain business intelligence solutions using best practices Proactively communicate status troubleshooting issues and risks to management Be self-motivated to learn introduce new ideas and teach others Leverage modern BI tools Tableau Power BI to extract and manipulate data from a variety of diverse sources Perform analysis on datasets to understand data structure and possible metrics visuals to answer business questions Qualifications 3 years of dashboard design experience in Tableau and or Power BI experience Skilled in ETL tools and methods SQL to SQL Alteryx etc Experience providing quick turn around on detailed and valuable dashboards and visualizations utilizing Power Bi and or Tableau Proactively prioritize work with minimal direction and effectively manage resources to meet objectives and deadlines Build trust and respect by consistently meeting and exceeding expectations Advanced knowledge hands-on experience on Power BI DAX Intermediate Advanced knowledge experience with SQL and good understanding of Data warehousing and Relational database concepts technologies Intermediate Advanced knowledge experience with scripting languages PowerShell scripting Shell script Python would be an asset Experience working with various Cloud AWS Azure technologies Team player-friendly communicative open honest thoughtful and committed Demonstrated expertise in data visualization design Strong design skills and attention to detail Experience working with other technologies D3 React Angular TypeScript HTML R Python Demonstrated knowledge of User Experience design a plus Experience with other BI tools Tableau Click Spotfire a plus Excellent analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills Strong understanding of visual communication best practices and application to design choices
