About the role:

The position of CFP & Relationship Manager / Investment Advisor based in Gurgaon is designed for experienced professionals in financial planning and wealth management, with 3 to 10 years of relevant industry experience. The ideal candidate should hold a graduate degree, with a preference for those who are Certified Financial Planners (CFP), Chartered Financial Analysts (CFA), or Chartered Accountants (CA).

This is a dual-role opportunity that combines the technical responsibilities of financial planning with the client-focused approach of relationship management. The role requires a dynamic, client-centric professional who will act as a trusted advisor to affluent and high-net-worth individuals. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in financial planning and deep knowledge of the Indian financial market and regulatory environment to deliver personalized, goal-based financial strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Relationship Management:

- The candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building long-term, trust-based relationships. This includes proactively engaging clients to understand their changing needs, resolving concerns, and delivering personalized financial guidance.

- The role involves identifying new business opportunities through existing relationships, cross-selling services, and securing referrals to help grow the firm's client base.

Financial Planning:

- A major part of the role includes conducting comprehensive financial assessments-covering areas such as cash flow analysis, investment planning, tax optimization, retirement, and estate planning.

- The advisor is expected to create tailored financial plans based on clients' goals and risk profiles, and regularly monitor these plans in response to market dynamics or life events. They must ensure adherence to SEBI guidelines and optimize portfolios for long-term growth and tax efficiency.

- Additionally, the candidate will take a leadership role in developing a technology-driven financial planning product targeted at DIY users, enabling personalized, automated plan creation.

Business Development:

The candidate will be responsible for acquiring new clients and increasing assets under management (AUM) by leveraging their professional network and attending industry events. This includes representing the firm at relevant seminars and networking forums to strengthen brand visibility and attract high-quality leads.

Requirements:

Education & Certification:

A bachelor's degree in a related field such as Finance, Economics, or Business is required. Preference is given to candidates with CFP certification from the Financial Planning Standards Board (FPSB) India. Additional certifications such as CFA or NISM are advantageous.

Experience:

Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the financial advisory or wealth management industry in India, with at least 3 years in a Relationship Manager role. Experience with high-net-worth clients and a demonstrated ability to increase AUM are essential.

Skills:

- Applicants must possess a strong grasp of Indian financial products and tax laws, including investment options like mutual funds, ULIPs, PMS, and REITs.

- The role demands proficiency in financial planning tools, excellent communication skills, the ability to simplify complex financial topics, and analytical skills in portfolio management and risk assessment.
