Marine Technical Superintendent for Barbados

We are seeking a highly experienced, hands-on Marine Technical Superintendent to join our dynamic team in Barbados. This is a critical shore-based role for a candidate with a strong background in tanker operations, technical management, and maritime safety compliance.
The Barbados Office is an extension of MTM PL.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the technical performance and maintenance of an assigned fleet of 5 tankers operating within the Caribbean Islands.
- Ensure vessels comply with international maritime regulations and company standards.
- Coordinate dry-docking, repairs, and inspections.
- Provide technical support and guidance to onboard crew.
- Manage budgets and ensure cost-effective operations.
- Will be reporting to the General Manager at MTM PL and to the Charterers / Owners in Barbados.
Requirements:
- Chief Engineer CoC or equivalent marine engineering qualification, with at least 4 years' sailing experience in that position.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Technical Superintendent with LPG & Chemical tanker vessels.
- Strong knowledge of ISM, ISPS, MARPOL, and Class/Flag regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- A strong team player.
- Willingness to relocate or be based in Barbados.
- A valid US & Schengen Visa.
