Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Jaipur for a Team Lead - Front End Developer.
Good Knowledge of React JS and React Native with HTML, CSS, Design Thinking and UX would be required for this role along with team management and leading skills.
The role involves leading a team in developing and maintaining front-end components of web applications, collaborating with design teams to implement responsive web designs, ensuring the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs, and optimizing applications for maximum speed and scalability.
The candidate will also be responsible for coordinating with back-end developers and stakeholders to ensure the seamless integration of front-end and back-end components.

Front End Team Leader will be responsible for leading the front-end development team, ensuring high-quality UI/UX implementations, meeting project deadlines, and driving continuous improvement in development practices. This role requires a balance of technical expertise, management skills, and a people-centric approach to foster a productive, efficient, and motivated team.
Working on multiple projects; about half day in management and planning of the tasks; and about half of the working day in coding related tasks. In a week; about 50% in management, planning, training and about 50% in coding.
We need someone who could be a friendly leader but at the same time a strict coach/manager who could drive projects forward.
Key Responsibilities in Management :
1. Team Leadership & Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all front-end developers both of Web and Mobile primarly developers working in React.JS for Web Apps and React Native for Mobile Apps.
- Most of the meetings with Front End Developers with Tech Head or CEO would be in the presence of TL; be it their performance review or performance assessments or any challenges coming in their work.
- Manage tasks progress and ensure completion whenever there is any blocker in coordination with management team and other developers, review code, and ensure all front-end work aligns with company standards across projects.
- Conduct regular 1:1 sessions with team members to track progress, address challenges, and support their growth.
- Encourage an environment of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
- Be strict yet empathetic, ensuring team members meet deadlines while maintaining a positive work culture.
- Work closely with the Backend Team Leader, developers (php, python, node.js, Django and Laravel) & Product/Project Managers, Directors to ensure smooth coordination.
2. Development & Technical Excellence
- Architect and develop scalable, high-performance front-end applications.
- Reusable Components and modules through effective Git Management of Feature and Product Branches
- Ensure best practices in React.js, React Native, Next.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, and UI frameworks.
- Knowledge of Node.js, Django, and Laravel would be an added advantage.
- Oversee and enforce coding standards, reusable components, and performance optimization.
- Stay updated with the latest front-end technologies and integrate improvements into the development process.
3. Goal-Oriented Execution
- Define and enforce clear goals and milestones for the front-end dev team.
- Ensure that all UI/UX designs are implemented accurately and efficiently.
- Identify bottlenecks in the development cycle and resolve them quickly.
- Drive continuous improvement by analyzing past performance and optimizing workflows.
4. Cross-Team Collaboration
- Coordinate with designers, backend developers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation.
- Align the front-end roadmap with company objectives and client expectations.
- Assist in planning sprints, estimating time for tasks, and ensuring timely delivery.
5. Quality Assurance & Code Reviews
- Conduct regular code reviews and ensure that code adheres to best practices.
- Ensure front-end applications are responsive, accessible, and bug-free.
- Promote unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing.
6. Mentorship & Team Development
- Train junior developers, ensuring knowledge transfer and skill enhancement.
- Identify skill gaps and recommend training sessions or workshops.
- Foster a culture of learning by encouraging the team to explore new technologies.
7. Client & Stakeholder Communication
- Engage in client meetings to understand requirements and present front-end solutions.
- Provide progress updates to management and align work with business goals.
- Ensure client feedback is incorporated effectively into front-end development.

- Team's story points completed per sprint
- Training sessions conducted & skill improvements observed.
- Team satisfaction score (via feedback surveys).
4. Innovation & Process Improvement
- Number of UI/UX enhancements implemented beyond standard requirements.
- Adoption of new front-end technologies or frameworks.
- Process improvements suggested and successfully implemented.
5. Cross-Team Collaboration & Communication
- Feedback from backend developers & designers on integration smoothness.
- Resolution time for inter-team conflicts & blockers.
- Client satisfaction score on front-end implementations.
Final Note:
A Front End Team Leader must enforce discipline but also inspire the team to achieve excellence.
The role is a blend of technical leadership, people management, and strategic execution. The ability to stay strict on deadlines while being empathetic to team challenges is key to success in this position.
