As the general counsel of the diversifies tech start up you will be leading the legal regulatory and compliance charter for the growing organisation Overseeing the functioning of the entire legal department leading the in-house legal team in all legal affairs of the company Putting in place processes key legal processes for efficient day to day functioning of the legal team Management of legal risks within the business and providing guidance to senior leadership and key stakeholders on all relevant legal matters Contribute to the business s strategy and decision-making processes together with other key personnel and collaborate with departmental leadership and key stakeholders across the business in identifying potential risks and overseeing and ensuring legal compliance across the business Ensuring timely dissemination of relevant legal and regulatory information across all business verticals together with impact analysis and implementation strategy Helming all key strategic projects of the company such as fund raises mergers and acquisitions new product launches etc while liaising with external counsel on a need to basis Handling day to day legal requirements such as drafting negotiating and finalising general contracts secretarial and compliance aspects for all entities statutory filings litigation etc Management of the business resources and budget allocation for the legal team Part of the Leadership team Navigating the IPO journeyKey Experience requirements 1 12 years of experience with a leading law firm and of in-house in a strategic advisory role2 Experience in Fund raising - debt and equity3 Regulatory advisory4 Compliance and litigation managementMore that the technical aspects the desired candidate will have an ability to bring value add in a dynamic and agile environment The ability to navigate key business risks with a forward looking objective for the organisation is a must The client is an established name in the tech ecosystemA high impact role with a leading and yet growing organisation
