This role is for one of the Weekday s clients Min Experience 7 years Location Bengaluru JobType full-time We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Production Manager to lead our manufacturing operations with a strong focus on inventory planning forecasting procurement and production efficiency The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the packaging industry particularly in small-scale production environments and a deep understanding of end-to-end production and supply chain management Requirements Key Responsibilities Production Planning Management Plan daily equipment material and manpower requirements to meet production targets Establish and optimize plant layout and production process flows Monitor and improve production efficiency by reducing waste and rejection rates Convert raw materials into semi-finished goods using mechanical processes e g sawing hotwire cutting Assemble products using manual methods such as gluing and screwing Organize and prioritize production orders schedule workforce accordingly and ensure timely output Track material shortages and resolve issues affecting customer orders promptly Implement production enhancements to improve quality and cost-effectiveness Inventory Planning Control Perform material requirement planning MRP based on stock levels production schedules and sales forecasts Analyze sales data to create accurate inventory forecasts Create and manage purchase orders for raw materials semi-finished goods SFG and finished goods FG Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels across RM WIP SFG and FG Work closely with warehouse teams to align procurement with inventory needs Procurement Vendor Management Identify and evaluate suppliers based on cost quality and reliability Negotiate pricing terms and contracts with vendors Manage and track purchase orders to ensure timely procurement Maintain strong vendor relationships for seamless communication and delivery Monitor and control procurement costs to ensure budget efficiency Maintain accurate documentation and generate procurement reports for performance analysis Team Operations Management Supervise the manufacturing process ensuring safety efficiency and high-quality standards Lead and manage small production teams overseeing quality and productivity Train and support operators manage production schedules and ensure timely task execution Coordinate with internal teams to support new product and project development Required Skills Experience 3-4 years of experience as a Production Manager preferably in the packaging industry Prior experience in temperature-controlled packaging systems is highly desirable Exposure to small production setups where one handles team management production and quality Proven experience in production planning workflow scheduling and team coordination Strong understanding of inventory control MRP and procurement processes Familiarity with supply chain management and vendor development Hands-on experience in AutoCAD CorelDraw and Microsoft Excel especially BOM management Proficiency in ERP systems Odoo experience is a plus Ability to operate production machinery and tools like forklifts or stackers when required Excellent spoken and written English communication skills knowledge of French is an added advantage
