Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. Build End-to-End Traceability Infrastructure:

Define and implement a part-level barcode system for critical SKUs (e.g., pump, SMPS, tank, valves, PCBs)

Develop mapping across touchpoints: supplier batch production station final machine field replacement

Collaborate with data/tech teams to establish a trace database and linking logic

2. Establish Supplier Quality Processes

Roll out Part Approval Process (PAP) including drawing validation, sample testing, and batch qualification

Run process audits for top 50 suppliers with emphasis on traceable manufacturing and material control

Lead incoming QC digitization with sampling plans linked to trace data

3. Quality Event Closure Using Trace Data

Drive NCR and CAPA resolution using trace analytics (e.g., isolate a leaking tank batch to a mould cavity and vendor shift)

Integrate field returns with IQC and process data to drive permanent fixes

Lead supplier scorecarding with trace-linked rejection and response metrics

4. Build Traceability Culture on the Ground

Define SOPs, visual boards, and operator workflows for trace logging

Conduct training sessions with QA, production, and supplier teams

Monitor trace data hygiene and close gaps through active review loops

Required Experience & Skills Education:

B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering

Certifications in QMS / Six Sigma / Traceability systems (preferred) Experience:

1-3 years in Supplier Quality, Production Quality, or Quality Systems Implementation

Experience in traceability system rollout, barcode control, or component tracking

Background in white goods, automotive, electronics, or appliances

Skills:

Strong foundation in ISO 9001, PAP/PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans

Practical knowledge of AQL sampling, NCR closure, part audits

Excellent coordination with suppliers, line engineers, and field service teams

Hands-on with tools like Excel, Power BI, Notion, or barcode databases
