About Lokal Access Empowerment for Bharat through AI and Local Language Internet Lokal is India s largest regional content and services platform built for the 500 million internet users from tier 2 towns Founded by IIT alumni Lokal started in 2018 to address the lack of relevant local content and now goes beyond content to solve real everyday problems of Bharat Growing as a house of apps Lokal is evolving into an AI-driven discovery and access platform connecting users in tier 2 India with the experts tools and knowledge they ve historically lacked access to Lokal Matrimony - Location-based matchmaking apps focused on hyperlocal compatibility Lokal Jobs - Hyperlocal job discovery platform connecting blue- and grey-collar workers with nearby opportunities GyanTV - Skill-based learning in regional languages stocks photography small business more Dostt - Make new friends through voice chats games and real authentic conversations Eaze - A safe space to explore emotional well-being via community-driven support AstroLokal - Instant access to trusted astrologers through audio and chat And more - 10 new apps in testing exploration across agricultural advisory legal advisory financial guidance and AI-powered personal assistants About the Role We are looking for a highly creative and skilled Video Editor to join our content team You will be responsible for crafting compelling short-form and mid-length video content across platforms from social media reels to promotional videos and branded content This role requires a deep understanding of storytelling editing trends platform dynamics and cultural nuances to create content that drives engagement and delivers impact Key Responsibilities Edit short-form and mid-length videos such as reels social media ads promos and content explainers Implement engaging hooks dynamic pacing and a strong narrative rhythm to maximize viewer retention Tailor editing styles to suit platform-specific behaviors e g fast cuts for Instagram scroll-stopping openers for YouTube Shorts Enhance video quality through thoughtful color grading text animations transitions and immersive sound design Collaborate closely with writers designers and creative leads to bring scripts and visual concepts to life Stay updated on current editing trends meme formats cultural references and audio trends to keep content fresh and relatable Analyze ad performance metrics and apply learnings to improve edits for better click-through and completion rates Edit videos in the required language Telugu ensuring linguistic accuracy cultural relevance and strong storytelling for the target audience Requirements 1-4 years of experience in video editing for social media or digital content Proficiency in editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro After Effects Final Cut Pro or similar Strong portfolio of short-form content reels ads promos Good understanding of social platform algorithms and engagement tactics Strong storytelling instincts visual creativity and sound design skills Language proficiency in Telugu and Ability to edit in Telugu with cultural sensitivity and linguistic command Ability to thrive in a fast-paced collaborative environment with tight deadlines
