Network and Network Security Administrator Job Title Deputy Manager 1 Department IT Reports to VP-IT Experience 8 to 10 Years Required Qualification BE B Tech Preferred Qualification BE B Tech Skill Knowledge Trainings Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware Prior experience in implementing administering and troubleshooting in network network security Trainings Certifications i CCNA CCNP-Routing Switching ii CCSA CCSE Vendor Management Project Management Good Communication and Presentation skills Core Competencies Routing Switching Network Security Web security Functional Competencies Cisco Routing and Switching Cisco ASA Firewalls Checkpoint Firewalls Mcafee IBM IPS devices Job Purpose Member of Network team responsible for Network and Network Security administration This is a key position as it relates to production support of critical applications and involves working in morning afternoon shifts Candidate should be prepared to stretch and extend beyond normal working hours days as call of duty as and when required Area of Operations Key Responsibility Network Maintaining and administering computer networks and related computing environments including systems software applications software hardware and configurations Install upgrade configure and troubleshoot network devices such as routers switches etc Coordinate with System Integrators OEM s for design of any deployments technologies as per the need and prepare the documentation for presenting to higher management Maximize network performance by monitoring performance troubleshooting network problems and outages scheduling upgrades and collaborating with network architects on network optimization LAN WAN troubleshooting with protocols such HSRP OSPF BGP MPLS Tunnelling Protocols IPSEC GRE etc Inventory maintenance Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure Preparing monthly quarterly reports processing payments to vendors budgets for expenditure etc Defining network policies and procedures Proper documentation and updating of documents related to network activities Deploying and operating network monitoring tools for effective and proactive network management Working knowledge of Leaf Spine architecture for Cisco networks Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems Network Security Install upgrade configure and troubleshoot network security devices such as firewalls IPS proxy server etc Basic knowledge of IPS devices Linux based proxy servers SIEM tools deployment along with correlation rules etc Understand requirements of network security and contribute in adherence of network policies and procedure as laid out by organization Maintaining firewalls virtual private networks Be a member of security operations team and Coordinate with SOC vendors for security incidents reported Configuration and troubleshooting of different kind of Access-lists firewall rule base to provide secured access Analyze security incidents events to determine their root cause Train fellow employees in security awareness and procedures Prepare reports that document security incidents events Any Other Requirement 1 Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources and assist others in understanding them as well 2 Ability to communicate and report all network network security incidents and issues to the upper management 3 A self-starter able to work independently but comfortable working in a team environment 4 Ability to communicate orally and written in a professional manner 5 Strong analytical and problem solving skills 6 Ability to work under pressure and stressful scenarios 7 Good time management skills and ability to work in shifts 8 An ability to follow processes 9 Though this position is initially for Pune location the candidate requires to relocate to Hyderabad or any other city in India
