Key roles and responsibilities Sourcing and vendor management Identify evaluate and develop a strong network of reliable suppliers for steel sheet metal and other components Conduct regular vendor visits to assess quality capacity and relationship strength Negotiation Negotiate with suppliers on pricing payment terms and delivery schedules to achieve the best possible cost savings Purchasing process management Execute the entire purchase process from generating purchase requisitions PRs and issuing purchase orders POs to tracking orders and ensuring timely delivery Inventory control Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods to prevent shortages or excess stock Implement just-in-time JIT strategies to optimize inventory and reduce costs Coordination with internal teams Collaborate with production quality assurance and stores departments to understand material requirements and specifications Quality assurance Coordinate with vendors to ensure that all procured materials meet specified quality standards This may involve coordinating inspections of materials and resolving quality-related issues Documentation and compliance Maintain accurate records of all purchase transactions pricing histories and supplier performance Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies legal requirements and industry standards Cost analysis and reporting Analyze procurement data and market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities Generate periodic purchase reports for management review Required skills and qualifications Experience 2-5 years of proven experience in a purchasing or procurement role preferably within the steel sheet metal or automotive manufacturing industries Technical knowledge Strong understanding of steel grades sheet metal components fabrication processes and other related technical specifications Negotiation skills Excellent negotiation communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong vendor relationships Software proficiency Competence in using ERP systems for purchase order management as well as Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel Analytical skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to evaluate supplier proposals perform cost-benefit analyses and resolve supply chain issues Educational background A bachelor s degree in commerce engineering or supply chain management is often preferred A diploma with relevant experience may also be considered Job Type Full-time Pay 25 000 00 - 35 000 00 per month Work Location In person
