Job Overview Join our dynamic team as an Ambulance Driver where your primary responsibility is to ensure the safe prompt and efficient transportation of patients to medical facilities This vital role combines expert driving skills with compassionate service allowing you to make a meaningful difference in emergency situations As an Ambulance Driver you will operate specialized emergency vehicles adhere to strict safety protocols and coordinate seamlessly with medical personnel and emergency responders Your energetic approach and dedication will help save lives and provide critical support to communities in need Duties Safely operate ambulance vehicles and other emergency response units including those with manual transmissions and specialized equipment such as stretchers and medical supplies Respond swiftly to emergency calls navigating traffic and challenging road conditions with precision and care Assist paramedics and emergency medical technicians EMTs by providing safe patient transport from the scene of an incident to hospitals or medical centers Conduct routine vehicle inspections maintenance checks and mechanical troubleshooting to ensure all equipment is operational and compliant with safety standards Load and unload patients using appropriate lifting techniques or mechanical aids such as stretchers pallet jacks or lift gates when necessary Communicate effectively with dispatchers medical staff law enforcement and other first responders to coordinate patient care and transportation logistics Maintain detailed logs of trips patient information vehicle maintenance records and incident reports accurately and promptly Ensure adherence to traffic laws safety regulations and company policies during all operations Requirements Proven experience in commercial driving or shuttle driving within a fast-paced environment experience with ambulance or emergency vehicle operation is highly preferred Valid driver s license with a clean driving record appropriate endorsements for operating large or specialized vehicles such as box trucks tanker trucks or heavy equipment are advantageous Knowledge of mechanical systems related to commercial vehicles including basic troubleshooting plus familiarity with manual transmissions and heavy haul operations Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients medical teams dispatchers and emergency responders Ability to lift heavy loads safely using equipment like stretchers or pallet jacks physical stamina for long shifts including standing or walking for extended periods Experience operating various commercial vehicles such as limousines flatbeds tow trucks or yard jockeys is a plus Knowledge of safety procedures related to moving patients or cargo in high-pressure situations familiarity with warehouse experience or heavy equipment operation is beneficial A responsible attitude with excellent route driving skills ability to navigate urban traffic efficiently while maintaining safety standards Join us in this rewarding role where your energetic drive and meticulous attention to safety will help deliver critical care when it matters most We re committed to providing paid positions that support your growth while making a real difference in people s lives every day Job Type Full-time Pay 23 000 00 per month Work Location In person
