The role Reporting to the Technical Manager-Global Network Services, key responsibilities would include developing, delivering and supporting enterprise network solutions, (both internal and external) that will enable Hitachi Vantara to be a leader in the delivery of solutions for Cloud, Internet of Things (IoT) and Social Innovation. The Hitachi Vantara Network team is rethinking everything with an emphasis on leveraging software defined solutions in the LAN, WAN, and Data Center, driving automation throughout the network service stack and increasing efficiency and reliability of delivered services. - Engineer, design and deploy enterprise and datacenter network solutions for Hitachi Vantara Global infrastructure - Design, deploy, and manage data center network infrastructures using Cisco NDFC (Nexus Dashboard Fabric Controller) to ensure seamless operation and scalability. - Manage cloud network integrations across platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, including setting up secure and scalable connectivity. - Deploy, configure, and maintain Palo Alto Networks firewalls in the cloud infrastructure to enhance network security and ensure compliance with organizational policies. - Implement and maintain SD-WAN solutions to support dynamic routing, traffic prioritization, and application performance optimization. - Troubleshoot complex network issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions to improve reliability and performance. - Leverage network automation tools and scripting to streamline configuration, monitoring, and management tasks. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align network designs with business goals, ensuring high availability and security across the infrastructure. - Monitor and manage network health using tools like Panorama, Cisco Prime, SolarWinds Orion, and other network management platforms. What You'll Bring - Minimum of 8 years of industry experience as a Network Engineer, with expertise in LAN, SD-WAN, Datacenter, and at least one public cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP). - Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE are highly preferred. - In-depth understanding of network protocols, including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, IPsec, HSRP, VDC, 802.11, 802.1x, and SNMP. - Experience in data center technologies like Cisco ACI, NDFC is preferred. - Familiarity and hands-on experience with next-generation firewalls, preferably Palo Alto. - Proven experience with network simulation, automation, and scripting tools. - Proficiency in network monitoring tools such as HP OpenView, SolarWinds Orion, Panorama, Cisco Prime, and Wireshark (or similar network packet capture tools).
