Compensation: Up to ₹12,00,000 per annum Immediate joiner required About the Role We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Network Engineer to design, implement, and manage the institution’s complete network infrastructure. The role involves establishing a secure and scalable network architecture, managing firewalls, ensuring IT security equivalent to DEFCON-level readiness, and maintaining high availability across leased lines and satellite connections (VSAT). The ideal candidate will be proficient in managing data centers, firewalls, and enterprise-level internet ecosystems to support up to 1,000 concurrent users. Key Responsibilities - Design, deploy, and maintain a robust and scalable network architecture aligned with industry best practices and cybersecurity standards. - Configure, monitor, and optimize firewalls, routers, switches, and load balancers to ensure network security and performance. - Manage data center operations, including server management, virtualization, and disaster recovery. - Implement and maintain intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS), VPNs, and advanced threat protection. - Ensure compliance with cybersecurity protocols and IT governance frameworks within the institutional network. - Manage leased lines, VSAT connections, and satellite-based communication networks to ensure seamless internet connectivity. - Conduct regular network audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to ensure system integrity. - Collaborate with IT security and system administration teams to maintain network reliability and business continuity. - Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and proactively resolve potential bottlenecks. - Prepare technical documentation, network diagrams, and performance reports. Required Skills & Expertise - Proven experience in network architecture design, implementation, and administration. - In-depth knowledge of Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or Juniper networking devices. - Expertise in firewall configuration, network segmentation, and secure access controls. - Familiarity with cloud-based network management, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and data center operations. - Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls). - Proficiency in routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and WAN optimization. - Experience in managing leased lines, VSAT, MPLS, and hybrid network environments. - Hands-on knowledge of network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, or PRTG. - Ability to manage large-scale enterprise networks supporting 1,000+ users. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s preferred). - Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Fortinet NSE, or equivalent certification preferred. - Minimum of 3+ years of experience in network engineering or IT infrastructure management.
