Role Description Job Location: Ahmedabad Employment Type: Full-Time/ On-Site What You’ll Do - Lead the end-to-end design process for smart office IoT products - from concept to detailed design to prototype development to testing to production - Drive the balance between form, function, ergonomics, and manufacturability in every product you design. - Work closely with engineering, embedded, firmware, and UX teams to develop innovative and ergonomic hardware solutions. - Define and develop CMF (Color, Material, Finish) strategies to elevate brand perception and product desirability - Develop high-quality CAD models, prototypes, and renderings to visualize concepts and communicate design intent clearly - Conduct user research and ergonomic studies to improve product design and enhance user experience. - Collaborate with embedded engineers to ensure seamless integration of IoT components, sensors, and materials. - Work with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure DFM (Design for Manufacturability) without compromising design vision. - Stay ahead of design trends, manufacturing processes, and emerging IoT technologies to drive innovation. - Develop design guidelines and documentation to standardize industrial design processes across product lines. - Work closely with manufacturers and suppliers to ensure that the final product maintains design intent while meeting cost and production constraints. What We’re Looking For - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field of consumer electronics, IoT Devices - 7+ years of experience in industrial design for consumer electronics or IoT devices. - Proficiency in 3D modeling software (e.G., SolidWorks, Creo, Rhino, Fusion 360 or similar) and rendering tools - Strong experience in CMF development, materials selection, and DFM (Design for Manufacturability). - Familiarity with IoT device constraints, sensor integration, and wireless communication technologies (WiFi, Thread, Bluetooth, Matter, Zigbee). - Experience designing enclosures incorporating thermal management and ventilation design principles - Experience working with cross-functional teams, including product, embedded, firmware, and mechanical engineers. - Ability to create detailed design specifications and technical drawings for prototyping and production. - A strong portfolio showcasing IoT or consumer product designs with an emphasis on usability and aesthetics. - Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to balance design vision with engineering feasibility. - Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design rationale to stakeholders. - Familiarity with FEA and CFD tools for structural or thermal analysis (ANSYS, COMSOL, Solidworks Simulation) (Preferred not mandatory) What You'll Get - Opportunity to share a design-led IoT product portfolio from the ground up - Work in a cross-functional, innovation-first environment - Create real impact through devices that will power the future of smart living - Freedom to experiment, iterate, and challenge conventional thinking If you’re passionate about shaping the future of smart office and designing hardware that seamlessly integrates with the digital world, we want to hear from you Join Mantra Softech and redefine the smart office experience through world-class industrial design. 💡 How to Apply Send your resume and portfolio to darvik.yadav@mantratec.com Please include "Senior - Product Designer (IoT)" in the subject line.
