The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our database systems, ensuring their performance, security, and availability. Responsibilities - Install, configure and maintain database systems on Linux servers. - Monitor database performance and optimize queries as needed. - Implement backup and recovery strategies for data protection. - Ensure database security and integrity by applying necessary patches and updates. - Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database solutions. - Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide technical support. - Document database configurations, processes, and procedures. Skills and Qualifications - Proficiency in Linux operating systems (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.). - Experience with database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle. - Knowledge of SQL and database design principles. - Understanding of backup and recovery procedures for databases. - Familiarity with shell scripting and automation tools. - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
