They should be well-versed with Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) phases and understand various software Development Life Cycle Models (SDLC).

The incumbent must be fully confident on the testing activities in a Project and conversant with releases, keeping track and documenting the same.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work includes testing of Pega Applications for Flow Rules, Decision Rules, Integrations, and Automated Regression Testing.
  • Liaise with Test Analysts, Business Analysts, Solution Designers, users to ensure changes meet quality standards.
  • Execute and evaluate manual or automated test cases and report test results.
  • Learn and become comfortable with other aspects of testing according to our Test Framework including planning, scripting, execution, and knowledge of Pega tool and its features.
  • QA Lead establishes metrics, mentors team members, manages outside resources, and develops test programs.
  • Lead and mentor QA team members, manage outside contract testers, develop and execute test cases, scripts, plans, and procedures.
  • Be well-versed with QA metrics for assessing the quality of delivered software and improving application quality going forward.
  • Determine 'go/no go' decisions on production implementations of new and modified software based on project quality and testing scenarios.
  • Involved in Sprint planning, understanding Use Cases, designing the test approach for PEGA APPLICATIONS, establishing automation strategy, implementation of automation in reducing testing cycle time, full execution of QA Process, and bringing things to closure.
  • Experience working in Agile methodology.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCEEssential Technical Qualification:

6-11 years of relevant experience into testing required for Lead Consultant.

Functional Testing:
  • Strong Communication Skills and Decision Making with Confident Client Facing Leads the design and execution of QA test plans and validation procedures.
  • Understand Use Cases and Design the Test Approach for the Pega Applications and Establish automation strategy for the application and implement the automation to reduce the testing cycle.
  • Proficiency in converting the Use Cases into the Test Scenario's and Test cases.
  • Functional Test Planning. Understanding the Flow diagrams and coming up with the Test scenario/s and Cases.
  • Extensive coordination with product and Dev team on requirement gaps and functional issues resolution.
  • API testing using SoapUI and create SQL queries.
  • Preferrable to have Pega tool Understanding which helps in better Testing of PEGA Applications.
  • Coordination with Performance test team to provide the necessary functional details.
  • Strong desire to be a functional tester with the technical capability to maintain tests.
  • Develop, document, and maintain functional test cases and other test artifacts like the test data, data validation, harness scripts, and automated scripts.
  • Ability to understand various aspects of Integration testing involving multiple interfaces.
  • As a lead we expect you to be confident leading functional testing activities in projects and releases and be responsible for the Test Reports daily and weekly to the clients.
Automation Testing Knowledge:
  • Should understand Test Automation and Open-source Frameworks.
  • C# with Selenium, Selenium Page Object Design Pattern.
  • Test Automation role requires to understand the design and execution of Automation Scripts and validation procedures along with the responsibility for Estimations, prioritizations, Overall plans, and coordinating testing activities.
  • Understanding the Selenium and BDD frameworks and very strong on the Automation concepts.
Preferred Qualification:
  • ISTQB certification.
  • Pega Testing.
  • Test Planning and Strategy implementations.
  • Good Communication and Client handling skills.
  • Familiarity with both backend and frontend skills.
  • Proficient in bug tracking and test management tools (JIRA, GIT, Jenkins, HP-ALM, X-Ray).
  • Qualification / B.Tech / M.Tech / MCA.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Client interaction skills.
  • TFS, Agile Scrum Methodology.
  • BFSI Domain knowledge is preferable.
