Job Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced individual to assist our client with their digital transformation efforts. We are looking for an individual who possesses a unique balance of technical depth and strong interpersonal skills to build innovative business solutions using the Pega platform. Should be well versed with Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) phases and understand the various software Development Life Cycle Models (SDLC). Incumbent must be fully confident on the testing activities in a Project and be conversant with releases and keeping a track and document the same. Demonstrated ability to use tools and enabling the timely releases is an important responsibility of the Lead Consultant QA. Should be flexible with other aspects of testing according to our Test Framework including planning, scripting, SIT, coordination of UAT and handover to operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Work will include testing of Pega Applications for Flow Rules, Decision Rules, Integrations and Automated Regression Testing and working alongside Test Leads to ensure all test activities on projects are executed as per the Test Plans.
  2. Required to liaise with Test Analysts, Business Analysts, Solution Designers, users to ensure and enabling the changes along with meeting the quality standards.
  3. Executing tests on software usability. Execute and evaluate manual or automated test cases and report test results.
  4. Incumbent must learn and be comfortable with other aspects of testing according to our Test Framework including planning, scripting, and Execution, also must learn to have knowledge of Pega tool and its features.
  5. QA Lead establishes metrics, mentors team members, and manages outside resources, as well as developing test programs.
  6. Lead and mentor QA team members, as well as manage outside contract testers. Develop and execute test cases, scripts, plans and procedures (manual and automated).
  7. Must be well versed with QA metrics for assessing the quality of delivered software and improving application quality going forward. Requires Peer Reviews of the Test Scripts from the Team.
  8. The test Lead will decide on the "go/no go" decisions on production implementations of the new and modified software, based on project quality and testing scenarios.
  9. QA Lead will be involved in Sprint planning, understanding Use cases, Designing the test Approach for PEGA APPLICATIONS, establishing Automation Strategy for the Applications, implementation of the Automation in reducing the testing Cycle time, full Execution of QA Process, and brining things for a Closure.
  10. Experience working in Agile methodology.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Essential Technical Qualification:

6 - 11 years of relevant experience into testing required for Lead Consultant.

Functional Testing

  1. Role Requires Strong Communication Skills and Decision Making with Confident Client Facing and Leads the design and execution of QA test plans and validation procedures, responsible for Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities and provide go/no go decisions on production implementations of new and modified software, based on project quality.
  2. Role Requires to understand the Use cases and Design the Test Approach for the Pega Applications and Establish automation strategy for the application and implement the automation to reduce the testing cycle.
  3. Role requires proficiency in converting the Use cases into the Test Scenario's and Test cases.
  4. Functional Test Planning. Understanding the Flow diagrams and coming up with the Test scenario/s and Cases.
  5. Extensive coordination with product and Dev team on requirement gaps and functional issues resolution.
  6. API testing using SoapUI and create SQL queries.
  7. Preferable to have Pega tool Understanding which helps in better Testing of PEGA Applications.
  8. Coordination with Performance test team to provide the necessary functional details.
  9. Should have strong desire to be a functional tester with the technical capability to maintain tests.
  10. Develop, document and maintain functional test cases and other test artifacts like the test data, data validation, harness scripts and automated scripts.
  11. Ability to understand various aspects of Integration testing involving multiple interfaces.
  12. As a lead we expect you to be confident leading functional testing activities in projects and releases and be responsible for the Test Reports daily and weekly to the clients.

Automation Testing Knowledge

  1. Should understand Test Automation and Open-source Frameworks
  2. C# with Selenium, Selenium Page Object Design Pattern.
  3. Test Automation role requires to understand the design and execution of Automation Scripts and validation procedures along with the responsibility for Estimations, prioritizations, Overall plans and coordinating testing activities.
  4. Understanding the Selenium and BDD frameworks and very strong on the Automation concepts.

Preferred Qualification: (Optional/Good to have)

  1. ISTQB certification
  2. Pega Testing
  3. Test Planning and Strategy implementations.
  4. Good Communication and Client handling skills
  5. Familiarity with both backend and frontend skills
  6. Proficient in bug tracking and test management tools (JIRA, GIT, Jenkins, HP-ALM, X-Ray).
  7. Qualification / B.Tech / M.Tech / MCA
  8. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  9. Client interaction skills
  10. TFS, Agile Scrum Methodology
  11. BFSI Domain knowledge is preferable.
