National Sea Logistics Reefer Development Manager

Job Description It's more than a job When you work in Freight Logistics and Operations at Kuehne+Nagel, you play a key role in optimising processes and ensuring that inventory and shipments move efficiently. But that is not all. Your work also helps ensure that vital medicines reach patients on time and supports other essential deliveries, from wind turbines to semiconductors. At Kuehne+Nagel, our contribution counts in more ways than we imagine. You will be part of our Sea Logistics Team to add your expertise + skills to the delivery of Customer + Product Excellence. Your primary objective is to promote + sell the reefer product services in line with our commercial strategy by engaging potential clients directly, focusing on acquisition of new + retention of existing customers. How you create impact You will do this by working with a variety of internal + external stakeholders while focusing on the following key objectives. - To develop + maintain a pipeline, covering both locally + overseas controlled business. - To help drive the field sales + key account management teams, supporting with your knowledge of the reefer + Pharma market, as well as reefer equipment capabilities. - To work closely with reefer dedicated teams in the Customer Care (CCL) + Operational Care locations (OCC) to ensure operational handling meets the customers requirements. - To conduct market research + align findings to further define a local product strategy. - To closely coordinate with overseas colleagues on sales leads that deliver mutual benefits. - To review + recommend where our product can differentiate through local value added services. What we would like you to bring - 5 to 7 years experience in business development or sales related to perishable goods. - Experience handling West India market. - Willing to be based in Mumbai with travel to Pune, Nasik, and other locations as needed. - Open to candidates from local forwarders or global freight forwarders. - Strong knowledge of reefer and Pharma markets preferred.
