SYSTRA is one of the world s leading engineering and consulting groups specializing in public transport and mobility solutions For over 65 years the Group has been committed to helping cities and regions develop by creating improving and modernizing their transport infrastructure and systems Context In India SYSTRA is an international consulting and engineering company operating in the fields of Metros High Speed Rail Railways Roads Buildings Urban planning and Water Environment for public and private organizations Our engineers work with passion to deliver the most reliable cost-effective and made-to measures solutions allowing end users to move seamlessly SYSTRA s unique expertise is backed with a reputation built through technical excellence delivered on projects Thanks to our know-how of our employees spread across India we are present at all stages from upstream studies to operation and maintenance We provide a comprehensive solution to manage all kinds of missions Detailed Design Consultant Project Management Independent checking services SYSTRA India s comprehensive know-how and expertise in Railways provides a wide spectrum of solutions for any challenge Building a new rail link doubling the capacity gauge conversion upgrading a network improving the performance of existing lines etc Our extensive experience encompasses Bridges station buildings Depots Earthwork Track Works Power Supply and Transmission Signaling Telecommunications Rolling Stock Utilities diversion and yard re-modelling etc Our services cover the entire life cycle of the project implementation Currently we are bidding for Semi High Speed Rail projects across India The position of Chief Telecommunications Expert is the key position in these BIDs Missions Main Duties System Architecture and Design Define the overall communication architecture wired and wireless leading the design of the high-speed redundant Fiber Optic Transmission System FOTS and IP MPLS backbone network Operational Communication Systems Oversee the implementation of safety-critical operational systems like GSM-R or equivalent radio systems for train-to-ground communication and SCADA for remote monitoring of power infrastructure Passenger and Station Systems SISS Direct the design and integration of all Station Information and Surveillance Systems SISS including CCTV Public Address PA Passenger Information Displays PIDS and station Wi-Fi access networks Interface and Integration Management Ensure seamless fail-safe integration of the telecom network with core railway systems particularly Signaling Train Control ETCS and Power Supply as critical communication links depend on it Technical Compliance and Standards Act as the final technical authority ensuring all telecommunication designs equipment and installation procedures adhere to international railway standards and project-specific technical specifications Testing Commissioning and Handover Develop and execute the comprehensive testing and commissioning plan including Factory Acceptance Tests FAT and Site Acceptance Tests SAT and manage the final technical handover of systems to the maintenance authority Profile Skills Graduate in Electronics and Communication Engineering or equivalent with working Knowledge of reading writing and Speaking in English Minimum 20 Years post minimum qualification experience in Telecom out of which atleast 10 ten years in any Rail based Passenger Transit system Relevant Experience - 5 years experience for Review of Design Implementation and Integrated Testing and Commissioning of Telecom system including Interface with other sub-systems for Rail Based Passenger Transit System as Chief Telecommunications Expert or equivalent position The period of relevant Experience at the position immediately below the proposed position in organization shall also be considered but its weightage for the period shall be 50 For example 02 years will be considered as 01 year Eligible Assignment -Must have Experience of one Eligible assignment as Chief Telecommunications Expert or equivalent position The period of Eligible Assignment at the position immediately below the proposed position in organization shall also be considered but its weightage for the period shall be 50 For example 02 years will be considered as 01 year If assignment period is more than 2 years on a particular project the number assignment will be considered as follows Min 4 years 2 Assignments Min 6 years 3 Assignments We commit to put people who join us at the heart of improving transportation and urban infrastructure efficiency As we are growing this is time to be a part of this challenging adventure It s not a job - it s a career
