Role Overview:

- MarketStar is seeking a skilled and analytical Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team. As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will play a key role in leveraging data and analytics to provide actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making and business growth. You will collaborate with the client s strategy team to collect, analyze, and interpret data from various sources, identify trends and patterns, and develop actionable recommendations to optimize business performance and improve operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

- Utilize statistical techniques and predictive modeling to collect, analyze, and interpret data from multiple sources, including vendor teams to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive strategic decision-making.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track business performance, identify areas for improvement, and provide recommendations for optimization.
- Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of data through data cleansing, validation, and quality assurance processes.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor business performance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define business requirements and objectives, and translate them into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis and deep-dive investigations to support business initiatives such as competitive analysis, cost saving, etc.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to increase efficiency and effectiveness in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders through presentations, reports, and data-driven insights.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to business intelligence, data analytics, and data visualization.

Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field. Masters degree preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or a related field, preferably in a technology or sales-driven organization.
- Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and interpret large datasets.
- Experience with statistical analysis and modeling techniques is a plus.
