About Mitti Labs Mitti Labs is a climate-tech startup dedicated to transforming the rice industry by supporting smallholder farmers in adopting sustainable practices Our mission is to bring AI and satellite technology into traditional rice farming reducing methane emissions while improving farmer livelihoods Backed by NASA-supported science and a strong ecosystem of partners we work with global corporations to help them achieve their net-zero goals through verified high-quality carbon credits Our initiatives include launching a 50 000 hectare project in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh reducing air pollution from stubble burning in Punjab and producing 200k high quality credits We have been assessed as the highest-rated NBS project by Sylvera We are a team of 60 data scientists agronomists engineers and operators including leaders in NASA s SAR program with decades of expertise in remote sensing and GHG modeling Our investors include Lightspeed India Voyager Ventures and other climate leaders Role Description We are seeking a Carbon Process Manager to take full ownership of our carbon registration and issuance pipeline This role will oversee all activities related to registering projects with Gold Standard Verra and other carbon registries and manage validation and verification processes with third-party VVBs You will be accountable for ensuring timely carbon credit issuance by coordinating across Operations Product and Carbon accounting teams while liaising with senior stakeholders inside and outside the organization This is a mission-critical role within a fast-growing startup ideal for someone ready to lead a workstream and deliver results under high stakes Requirements Carbon Project Registration Certification Lead the end-to-end registration process with registries such as Gold Standard Verra Ensure documentation meets the highest standards of integrity and compliance Track and manage registry timelines deadlines and deliverables Validation Verification Management Act as the primary point of contact for Validation and Verification Bodies VVBs Prepare and coordinate documentation data and responses to VVB queries Proactively mitigate potential delays or non-conformities Rating Agency Standards Coordination Manage relationships with rating agencies such as Sylvera BeZero and Calyx Coordinate applications for CCP and other reputed carbon quality standards Cross-Functional Coordination and Due Diligence Support Prepare clear data-backed documents and updates to leadership on risk assessment and issuance timelines Support leadership in responding to investor and buyer information requests Work closely with the co-founders to take strategic decisions on project growth Process Improvement Ownership Develop and optimize internal processes to reduce cycle times for registration and issuance Maintain an organized repository of all registry submissions and correspondence Benefits Be at the frontline of climate-tech Mitti Labs is tackling the methane emissions and water-intensive practices of rice farming a major global climate lever that few organisations are focussed on You ll work with satellite AI field-data to drive real change not just build features High-impact global platform deep local action The company s work spans from smallholder farmers in India and Southeast Asia to global carbon markets and buyers You ll have the opportunity to interface with both real-world farm operations and high-level climate finance Work with a mission-driven elite team in a dynamic growth environment Mitti Labs is backed by top investors Lightspeed Voyager and led by a team with deep expertise in agriculture carbon science and tech If you join you ll be in a high-growth startup environment where your contributions matter iteration is rapid priorities evolve and you ll see your work have tangible impact on climate and livelihoods
