Company Description Eurofins Scientific is an international life sciences company which provides a unique range of analytical testing services to clients across multiple industries The Group believes it is the world leader in food environment pharmaceutical and cosmetics products testing and in agroscience CRO services It is also one of the global independent market leaders in certain testing and laboratory services for genomics discovery pharmacology forensics CDMO advanced material sciences and for supporting clinical studies In addition Eurofins is one of the leading global emerging players in specialty clinical diagnostic testing In 2018 Eurofins generated 4 2 billion Euro proforma turnover in 800 laboratories across 47 countries employing about 45 000 staff This Position is in India and the engineer is needed to work from 12PM to 9PM IST timing to support the Europe Business timing Cloud System Administrator REPORTING TO Senior Manager REPORTING LOCATION Bangalore WORKING LOCATION Bangalore SUMMARY OF ROLE AND OBJECTIVES We are seeking a skilled and proactive Cloud System Administrator to manage and maintain our hybrid cloud infrastructure The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Windows and Linux operating systems VMware vSphere infrastructure automation tools like Terraform and Ansible and a strong background in patch management This role is critical to ensuring system reliability security and scalability across our cloud and on-prem environments Key Responsibilities Administer and maintain Windows and Linux servers in cloud and on-prem environments Manage and optimize VMware vSphere infrastructure including virtual machines hosts clusters and storage Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform and Ansible Implement and manage patching strategies across all systems to ensure compliance and security Monitor system performance troubleshoot issues and perform root cause analysis Collaborate with Security and Application teams to support deployment pipelines and secure configurations fix vulnerabilities Maintain documentation for system configurations procedures and policies Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution Required Skills Qualifications Proven experience with Windows Server and Linux RHEL CentOS Ubuntu administration Strong expertise in VMware vSphere ESXi vCenter vMotion DRS HA Proficiency in Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure as code and configuration management Solid understanding of patch management tools and processes WSUS Red Hat Satellite etc Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or Google Cloud is a plus Knowledge of networking fundamentals firewalls and security best practices Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Strong communication and documentation abilities Personal profile Very good English communication skills concise writing and orally convincing Able to engage and influence others to obtain sufficient follow up and attention Eager to learn and continuously develop personal and technical capabilities Ability to work in a complex international environment Eager to learn and continuously develop personal and technical capabilities Education Experience Bachelor s degree in computer science Information Technology or related field 7 years of experience in system administration and cloud infrastructure management Must have certification in Microsoft Vmware Azure Cloud would be good to have Qualifications Bachelor s degree in computer science Information Technology or related field 7 years of experience in system administration and cloud infrastructure management Additional Information What we offer A launch pad into various senior management opportunities - within the many business lines of Eurofins globally - or into the management hierarchy in our different corporate functions The opportunity to grow your project management skills in a demanding fast growing organization A chance to become part of a highly motivated international team of professionals In a fast growing group successful leaders are frequently being offered increased areas of responsibility subject to geographic mobility
