Lead - Design Engineering (Electrical) (Urgent)

Job Description About the role Subject Matter Expert in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). Develops and maintains standards for lighting, power and other electrical equipment, ensuring alignment with Group Engineering standards. Accountable for value-engineering projects, ensuring adherence to Tesco standards, quality expectations and project KPIs. You will be responsible for - Design and deliver electrical projects, including solar energy systems and BESS, in consultation with TBS and UK Engineering Managers.- Develops feasibility, tender designs, specifications and BOQ's for Electrical, Solar and BESS projects with a focus on detailed execution.- Focuses on engineering specific metrics, including design quality and timely delivery.- Implements industry standards and innovations relevant to engineering projects and ensures their implementation.- Develops and maintains engineering standards based on TBS and UK Engineering Managers guidance.- Explores opportunities for improving standards and cost savings within the scope of engineering projects.- Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems and technologies, understanding their application in Tesco's context.- Deliver designs to ensure alignment with Tesco standards and project KPIs.- Identifies opportunities for improving energy efficiency through specific project designs and operational adjustments.- Ensures adherence to all relevant engineering standards, recent industry trends in all engineering deliverables.- Manages and updates databases, tracks changes to standards and benchmarks information for future use.- Identify the engineering specific issues in the projects & process and rectify as per the Tesco standards.- Provides on-the-job training and technical guidance to team members specific to project needs and challenges.
