Job Description Job Description We are seeking a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our engineering team focused on HVAC solutions for the Marine and Oil & Gas industries. The ideal candidate will bring a solid foundation in electrical design, hands-on experience with industry-specific systems, and a collaborative mindset to drive project success from concept through implementation. Key Responsibilities - Design and develop electrical systems for HVAC projects in marine and oil & gas applications. - Create and review electrical drawings, including D&ID and P&ID schematics. - Prepare technical documentation, BOMs, and specifications. - Collaborate with mechanical and controls teams to ensure seamless system integration. - Conduct feasibility studies and support technical assessments for new and existing designs. - Ensure all designs meet applicable IEC, IEEE, and industry-specific safety standards. - Work with MCCs, starters, PLCs, and field instruments relevant to HVAC systems. Required Qualifications - Bachelor's or Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (BE EEE / DEEE). - 3 to 10 years of relevant experience in electrical design, preferably in the marine and oil & gas HVAC sector. - Hands-on experience with AutoCAD (2D) and MS Office tools. - Knowledge of starters, MCC panels, PLC systems, and instrumentation. - Understanding of D&ID and P&ID diagrams. - Familiarity with industry standards and compliance requirements. - Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. - Effective written and verbal communication skills. - Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in a similar role. Preferred Skills - Experience in working with HVAC control systems. - Exposure to marine classification society standards (ABS, DNV, etc.) is a plus. - Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
