We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Legal Advisor to provide expert legal counsel and guidance for our Canadian operations The successful candidate will ensure compliance with Canadian laws and regulations mitigate legal risks and support business objectives across various functions Key Responsibilities Legal Counsel Provide accurate timely and practical legal advice on a wide range of business and operational matters Draft review and negotiate contracts agreements and other legal documents Interpret laws rulings and regulations to ensure organizational compliance Compliance and Risk Management Monitor and ensure compliance with federal provincial and local laws including employment corporate and regulatory requirements Develop and implement risk management strategies to protect the company s interests Conduct regular legal audits and recommend changes as needed Dispute Resolution and Litigation Handle pre-litigation disputes and advise on strategies to resolve legal conflicts Manage external legal counsel for litigation and complex legal matters when required Corporate Governance Advise on corporate governance policies and ensure adherence to internal guidelines Assist with the preparation of corporate resolutions board meetings and related documentation Training and Support Educate employees and stakeholders on legal risks corporate policies and compliance requirements Provide training on emerging legal trends and best practices Qualifications Education Bachelor s degree in Law LLB or JD from an accredited institution membership in good standing with a Canadian law society Experience Minimum 5 years of experience in a legal advisory role preferably within a corporate or in-house counsel setting Knowledge Strong understanding of Canadian legal frameworks including corporate employment and contract law Skills Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills Job Types Full-time Permanent Pay 30 000 00 - 50 000 00 per month Benefits Health insurance Leave encashment Paid sick time Paid time off Provident Fund Work Location In person
