Job Description - 4 to 5 years of relevant experience in network security and firewall engineering. Role Overview The Checkpoint Firewall Engineer will be responsible for implementing and supporting end-to-end networking and security solutions across multi-cloud environments in a 24/7 rotational shift model. The role focuses on advanced firewall operations, secure connectivity, and network infrastructure support at Level 2 and Level 3. Key Responsibilities - Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for Checkpoint Firewall and network infrastructure in a 24/7 environment. - Implement and manage end-to-end networking solutions on multi-cloud platforms. - Configure, manage, and upgrade Cisco devices including routing, switching, and Nexus devices. - Work on multi-context firewall configurations and perform device upgrade activities. - Establish secure connectivity through Site-to-Site (S2S), Client-to-Site (C2S) VPN and internet as per security policies. - Understand client requirements and deliver end-to-end secure networking solutions. - Support and manage firewall technologies including Checkpoint, FortiGate, and F5 Load Balancer. - Handle network technologies such as VPC, BGP, routing, switching, and VPN configurations. - Ensure adherence to ITIL processes using ticketing tools such as ServiceNow, JIRA, and SPC. - Perform troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for network and firewall issues. - Maintain documentation and update configuration standards and procedures. - Work collaboratively with internal and external teams to meet SLA and operational goals. Primary Skills - Cisco Routing and Switching with Nexus device knowledge - Cisco multi-context firewall configuration and device upgrades - ISE knowledge (preferred) Secondary Skills - Working knowledge of FortiGate Firewall - Checkpoint Firewall - F5 Load Balancer Technical Expertise - Site-to-Site VPN, Client-to-Site VPN, VPC, BGP, Routing and Switching - Hands-on experience with Checkpoint Firewall platform - Cloud networking experience on Azure, AWS, and GCP - Understanding of CCNA-level networking fundamentals
