Description :- Working on network security technologies (Firewall, Proxy, IDS/IPS, DDoS, etc.)- Respond promptly to requests, incidents, and tickets from application owners.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business and application requirements.- Design, configure, and maintain firewall rules and policies that meet security standards.- Troubleshoot network connectivity and firewall performance issues.- Monitor firewall activity, identify potential threats, and recommend remediation steps.- Ensure firewall rule changes align with change management procedures and compliance guidelines.- Document all configurations, changes, and resolutions accurately.- Manage and update internal documentation- Monitor device health and activities- Assist in the day to day management of the proxy and access requests- Assist in troubleshooting and problem solving a wide variety of client issues and issues affecting the security of our computing resources- Provide technical and operational security support to IT, Engineering, Legal, and business units- Research security enhancements and make recommendations to management.- Stay up-to-date on information technology trends and security standards.Key Competencies & Skills required :Technical Skills :- 2+ years of hands-on experience in network security or firewall engineering.- Proficiency in configuring and managing firewall platforms (e.g., Palo Alto, Cisco, Fortinet, Checkpoint).- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS) and security concepts.- Experience with enterprise change management processes and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow).- Good understanding of networking and security conceptsMust have :- Fluent in English communication- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate and collaborate with global teams- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex security issues- Ability to explain the technical issues and its solution (ref:hirist.tech)
