Revenue Accounting SpecialistToast is driven by building the all-in-one restaurant platform that helps restaurants operate their business increase sales engage guests and keep employees happy The Revenue Accountant will report to the Revenue Accounting Manager and is responsible for implementing revenue policies reviewing revenue transactions and ensuring that revenue is recognized in accordance with US GAAP This is a challenging highly visible role that requires excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment About this roll Responsibilities Prepare revenue month-end journals and associated reconciliations by working with different areas of the business to ensure all transactions are accounted for in accordance with Company policies and US GAAP Prepare and review revenue month-end journal entries and reconciliations in accordance with GAAP by working cross-functionally with other parts of the business Collaborate with GL Accounting Billing Operations and F S teams to support all close related activities through NetSuite Assist in developing dashboards for variance trend and other analysis to identify issues and resolve as required Support documentation and continuous process improvement for Revenue policies controls and systems Do you have the right ingredients Requirements 2 5 plus years of revenue recognition experience preferably industry experience with in-depth knowledge of accounting standards Bachelor s degree or higher in accounting and or finance Good knowledge of revenue accounting standard ASC-606 and contingencies loss recoveries and guarantees standard ASC-450 Ability to perform tasks related to revenue recognition loss recoveries contingent liabilities and apply relevant accounting guidance High degree of accuracy attention to detail and confidentiality Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets Team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work cross-functionally and at various levels within an organization Shift timing 2PM -11PM Special Sauce Nice to Haves Experience with NetSuite Salesforce and Snowflake is highly desirable Ability to analyze large sets of data using specialised tools such as Macros Power Query Power BI etc Experience with Data visualisation looker Hex and or other analytic tools Certified Public Accountant CPA or Chartered Accountant CA qualification We are ToastersDiversity Equity and Inclusion is Baked into our Recipe for Success At Toast our employees are our secret ingredient When they are powered to succeed Toast succeeds The restaurant industry is one of the most diverse industries We embrace and are excited by this diversity believing that only through authenticity inclusivity high standards of respect and trust and leading with humility will we be able to achieve our goals Baking inclusive principles into our company and diversity into our design provides equitable opportunities for all and enhances our ability to be first in class in all aspects of our industry Bready to make a change Apply today Toast is committed to creating an accessible and inclusive hiring process As part of this commitment we strive to provide reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities to enable them to access the hiring process If you need an accommodation to access the job application or interview process please contact
