Who are we At Finastra we are a dynamic global provider of open finance software solutions dedicated to expanding access to financial services Our innovative applications span Lending Payments Treasury and Capital Markets and Universal Banking Proudly serving over 8 000 customers including 45 of the world s top 50 banks we aim to boost financial inclusion for all Join us and be part of a vibrant company that embraces diverse perspectives and is committed to doing well by doing good Key Major Function Finastra is currently seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer to join the Network Engineering organization This position is responsible for network security solutioning and incident response for the Finastra enterprise The chosen engineer will partner with internal teams management and vendors to design deliver maintain and enhance Finastra s network security capabilities The ideal candidate should be forward-thinking dedicated and detail-oriented with a strong desire to work within a dynamic and collaborative environment Key Responsibilities Daily responsibilities as Network Security Engineer include requirements gathering technical discovery design creation and implementation duties Proof of concept and pilot NextGen network security capabilities that include cloud native technologies Work directly with InfoSec and Network Engineering peers to develop and enhance network security capabilities that improve Finastra s security posture Proven ability to leverage Microsoft Visio to create diagrams that depict network security solutions and or designs Create and publish runbooks for routine maintenance activities Maintain technical configuration documents and standard operating procedures related to network security services Proven ability to create design concepts and facilitate conceptual conversations with technical peers and leadership Partner with Original Equipment Manufacturers OEM and technology vendors to compile bill of materials that represent network security solutions Adhere to IT Service Management policy and procedures for return to service tasks problem management and change control activities Support 24x7x365 network security incident and response needs Occasional non-business hours support required as driven by business needs and project demand Role requires up to 10 business travel Required Skills Functional knowledge of networking and data communication fundamentals including connectivity methods security functions and routing switching protocols Functional knowledge of internetworking standards Functional knowledge of network security management tools Advanced knowledge of OSI model Minimum of 3 years network security design and implementation experience 3 years of design and implementation experience with the following OEMs Microsoft Azure or AWS Fortinet F5 and Cisco Working experience with the following security capabilities application firewall inspection intrusion detection prevention dynamic web filtering internet proxy firewall management and audit tools Design and implementation experience using web application protection capabilities - distributed denial of service and web application firewall Proficient with advanced load-balancer capabilities Foundational knowledge of encryption standards and protocols Micro segmentation knowledge and deployment experience desired Competencies Problem solving troubleshooting abilities Excellent interpersonal skills - oral and written Customer focused Basic financial and accounting knowledge - amortization depreciation CAPEX OPEX Ability to work well in a project team environment Knowledge of Microsoft Office products -
