Global Commodity Manager

Job Description

- Consistently and effectively source procure materials tomeetdemand planNPI launch plans.
- Cost Contract Management:Ensure timelyupdationof all Commodity influenced Procurement Databases to support financial/product costtracking and analytics Like - Item Master, Pricing Database,LTs ,MOQs, NCNR termsand other terms conditionsinfluencing total cost of ownership and supply continuityetc..
- Quarterly Negotiation, Establish strategic supplier contracts, supplier service level agreements, and performance measurement programs., including LT, MOQ, NCNRetc..
- Identify and drive proactive cost reduction opportunities with cross functional team as Program managersthrough alternate sourcing qualification, VA/VE opportunities etc.
- Work with Accounts Payable and Receiving to resolveanyinvoicing and receiving issuesto ensureontimesupplier payments
- Develop should costings to effectively negotiate and manage right costs.
- Benchmarking of different suppliers to ensure lowest costs
- SupplyManagement :
- LongtermSupplier capacity planning to ensure sustainable supplies.
- Review purchase ordersand shipment tracking information in Enphase / EMS ERP systems to ensure no Manufacturing line disruptionsor excess ordering
- Coordinate inventory planning and replenishment of raw materials, components and finished goods with suppliers, distributors and EMS partners to meet business requirements.
- Maintain sustainable inventory levels of components at suppliers and EMSand alsoensure no excess Inventories or OBS creation, ECO/ECN. PCN management
- Resolve any quality issues, disrupting line andcost impact
- Strategy :
- Understand the market intelligence for the commodities andplan aheadon ensuring optimum cost and supply availability and mitigate the risks to cost and supplies
- New supplier selection,onboarding, Supplieraudit SCrisk assessmentmitigation
- DevelopLongtermCommodity strategy and Preferred Supplier list for assigned commodities and ensure sourcing to meet PSL strategyas per definedmeasurablemetric
- Develop business relationships with suppliers that enable long term optimized support.
- NPI sourcing support and guidance onspecingin the right component and supplier as per theCommoditywisePSL strategy. Act as escalation point with suppliers to NPI sourcing team for quick turnaround NPI launches
- Develop PSL to mitigate COO risks and one country dependency
- Plan Vendor rationalization and grow business with preferred suppliers
- Develop and standardize key business, sourcing procurement processes through written process documents.
- Support Functional initiatives onDigitisationand process improvements
- Provide detailed data, information, and reports related to plans / results of procurement activities and deliverables to executive teams( MISreporting )

Who you are and what you bring

- Education:BachelorsdegreeinEngineering(EE orEC), with 10+ years of experiencein sourcingElectricalElectronic components, preferablyin Active componentssemiconductors.Foundry and FAB knowledgewill bean added advantage
- Must be a Problem SolverNotProblemTeller
- Worked as Global Commodity manager inpast experienceand tactical procurementexperience
- Havein-depthtechnicalknowledgesourcingexperience ofElectricalElectroniccomponents
- Extensivefunctional experience inglobal sourcingwithstrong negotiation skills,workingwithglobalsuppliers/cross functional teamsand alsotactical procurementto manage supply and inventory
- Experience inDevelopingshouldcostingsheets and drivennegotiation based on zero base costings.
- Experience to work withcontract manufacturers / EMSandtacticalprocurement teams to drive problem resolution, ECO implementation, quality processes, andeffective source cost analysis

- Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, withstrong presentation skills
- Strong computer applicationSoftware usageskillslikeMS excel,Powerpoint, ERP systems etc.
- Must be able to work in an environment of short notice changes, and tolerate interruptions
- APICSCPM, and/or other certifications a plus
- Commodities expected to be managed-TechnicalSourcing expertise
- Electronics -Protection device,Fuse, Relay, LCD,Switch, Crystal, Filter,Discretes- LEDs,Optosetc..
- Electrical - Magnetics,transformers, CTs, Inductor,Powersupplies, Wiring harness, Connectorsetc.
