Job Title Head of Department - English IBDP A Levels APs Location Sector 44 Gurugram HaryanaSalary 18 - 24 LPAAs the Head of Department for English you will play a pivotal role in shaping the academic direction and success of our English tutoring program You will lead a team of dedicated English tutors ensuring that they deliver high-quality instruction and support to students of varying levels and abilities Your expertise in English Language leadership skills and passion for teaching will drive the department s growth and contribute to the overall success of our students Key Responsibilities1 Curriculum Development Collaborate with the academic leadership team to develop and refine the English curriculum ensuring alignment with relevant standards and assessments IBDP A Levels etc 2 Instructional Leadership Provide guidance and support to English tutors including lesson planning instructional strategies and assessment practices Model effective teaching methods and promote best practices in English education 3 Teacher Training and Development Coordinate professional development opportunities for English tutors including workshops seminars and peer observations Mentor new tutors and provide ongoing support and feedback to enhance teaching effectiveness 4 Student Progress Monitoring Oversee the tracking of student progress and performance in English analyzing data to identify areas for improvement and implementing targeted interventions as needed 5 Parent and Stakeholder Communication Communicate regularly with parents and other stakeholders regarding student progress program updates and upcoming events Foster a positive and collaborative relationship with the community 6 Resource Management Manage departmental resources effectively including instructional materials technology tools and learning resources Identify resource needs and make recommendations for procurement or development 7 Quality Assurance Ensure the quality and consistency of English instruction across all classes and programs Conduct regular evaluations and assessments to monitor program effectiveness and make data-driven decisions for improvement Qualifications A Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in English or a related field Masters degree preferred Strong knowledge and understanding of the subject s you wish to teach at the IB level Minimum of 08 years of teaching experience in the relevant subject areas in Experience of teaching with the International Baccalaureate IB and IGCSE with demonstrated expertise in the subject area Previous leadership experience in an educational setting Team lead head etc Strong organizational communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues students and parents Proficiency in educational technology tools Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in English education Knowledge of curriculum and instruction Ability to engage students a cross-ability ranges Ability and willingness to teach online and or in a hybrid context as necessary Benefits Best in class salary benefits package commensurate with experience Professional development opportunities Opportunity to make a significant impact on Biology education and student success EducoHire
