Role Description The Embedded Systems & IoT Engineer will be a core technical team member responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying complete IoT solutions combining hardware design, firmware development, device integration, and field implementation. The role requires hands-on ownership of projects from concept to production, working closely with product, software, and operations teams in a fast-growing startup environment. This position demands a self-driven, problem-solving, execution-focused mindset with an ability to take complete technical responsibility for embedded and IoT product development. Description Design and develop complete IoT hardware and embedded firmware solutions from concept todeployment. Work on MCU platforms such as ESP32, STM32, Arduino, and Raspberry Pi. Design schematics, PCBs, BOMs and support prototype fabrication & assembly. Develop firmware in Embedded C/C++ / MicroPython for sensor interfacing and device control. Implement communication protocols: UART, I2C, SPI, MQTT, HTTP, BLE. Integrate GSM/LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and cloud IoT platforms. Build device logic for data acquisition, connectivity, OTA updates, and remote monitoring. Perform hardware debugging, firmware testing, power optimization, and reliability validation. Support field installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of deployed systems. Coordinate with software/dashboard teams for end-to-end IoT integration. Maintain technical documentation for designs, firmware, testing procedures, and manuals. Lead and deliver assigned technical milestones independently. Contribute as a core startup team member to product design, innovation, and rapid prototyping. Train and guide interns / junior engineers when required. Participate in technical client meetings and solution discussions. Ensure timelines, technical quality, and deliverables are met for each project. Probation & Evaluation - This position will be subject to a 3-month probation period. During probation, performance will be evaluated based on: - Technical execution & output quality - Timely milestone delivery - Problem-solving ability - Ownership of hardware & firmware tasks - Team collaboration and communication - Continuation of employment will be confirmed only upon successful completion of the probation evaluation. The company reserves the right to: - Confirm employment, or - Extend the probation, or - Discontinue employment based on overall performance and role suitability.
