Some careers shine brighter than others If you re looking for a career that will help you stand out join HSBC and fulfil your potential Whether you want a career that could take you to the top or simply take you in an exciting new direction HSBC offers opportunities support and rewards that will take you further HSBC is one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world with operations in 64 countries and territories We aim to be where the growth is enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper and ultimately helping people to fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialist Department- Distributed Compute In this role you will Lead and contribute to the development of data-driven solution dashboards and reports ensuring alignment with business requirements and advanced visualization needs Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to define project objectives prioritise tasks and deliver high-quality solutions Develop and implement scalable ETL processes using PySpark Python and other relevant technologies Establish and promote best practices for software development and data engineering workflows Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to ensure the delivery of high-quality efficient and well-optimised code Develop and implement data-driven solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams ensuring alignment with organisational goals Develop and maintain data pipelines and CI CD pipelines optimising processes for accuracy efficiency and scalability Apply data science methodologies including machine learning and predictive analytics to solve business problems and enhance decision-making Continuously research evaluate and adopt emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and improve project outcomes To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements Strong expertise in data engineering including ETL ELT frameworks data pipeline orchestration tools e g Airflow Apache and big data technologies Hadoop Spark Proficiency in programming with Python PySpark and Shell Scripting e g PowerShell Bash Experience with database technologies SQL NoSQL and data warehousing solutions Demonstrated experience with Splunk or similar data visualization tools including onboarding new data sources and developing insightful user-friendly dashboards Strong understanding of data science concepts including machine learning statistical modelling and predictive analytics Hands-on experience with data science tools and frameworks e g Pandas NumPy Proficiency with DevOps tools such as GitHub Jenkins Ansible Automation JIRA Confluence and ServiceNow Proficiency in analytical problem-solving and communication skills Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment A proactive growth-oriented mindset with a passion for continuous learning and professional development You ll achieve more when you join HSBC www hsbc com careers HSBC is committed to building a culture where all employees are valued respected and opinions count We take pride in providing a workplace that fosters continuous professional development flexible working and opportunities to grow within an inclusive and diverse environment Personal data held by the Bank relating to employment applications will be used in accordance with our Privacy Statement which is available on our website Issued by - HSBC Software Development India
