In essence an IT Security Engineer is a vital defender of an organization s digital infrastructure working to prevent detect and respond to cyber threats Security System Design and Implementation Designing implementing and maintaining security measures to protect IT infrastructure Configuring and managing security tools firewalls intrusion detection prevention systems antivirus software etc Planning and implementing security upgrades Vulnerability Management Monitoring systems for vulnerabilities and threats Conducting regular security assessments and audits Performing penetration testing and vulnerability scanning Continuously monitor IT infrastructure and software environments for vulnerabilities unauthorized access attempts and other security threats using advanced security
