You'll be Responsible for?

- Implement, manage, and maintain Tanla's Unix-based enterprise infrastructure supporting critical business systems.
- Implement, manage, and maintain storage solutions (i.e. SAN & NAS) for Linux, VMware, Nutanix, and Proxmox VE environments.
- Identify and investigate complex system malfunctions: isolate causes of errors due to servers, desktops/laptops, storage, network, cabling, etc.; work with vendors to resolve hardware and software issues.
- Monitor usage, capacity, and performance of systems; liaise with users and vendors to address problems and changes in requirements.
- Maintain system documentation including licensing, hardware and software inventory, security data, user manuals, Visio-style layouts, etc.
- Manage servers using remote console solutions such as KVM, iLO, and iDRAC, and handle firmware updates and patch management to ensure optimal system performance
- Implement MBSS and security best practices and perform regular security audits
- Design and implement new hardware infrastructure, including planning, installation, and configuration of hardware and software
- Plan and implement upgrades to IT systems; install and configure hardware and software.
- Ensure systems are properly backed up and monitored; define and implement backup procedures for disaster recovery purposes.
- Provide technical guidance and direction to less experienced staff.
- Manage Ticketing queue and issue resolution.

You'd have?

- Bachelor of Science in IT or Computer Science or equivalent experience with a minimum of 8 years of experience in Linux administration
- Eight (8) plus years of related experience with administration of Unix Systems Administration, three (3) years of VMware and/or Nutanix, and three (3) years scripting experience emphasizing configuration management.

Additional Experience (preferred)

- Seven (7) plus years administering Linux/Solaris systems in a mission-critical environment
- Three (3) plus years scripting (shell and/or interpreted)
- Seven (7) plus years Red Hat Linux Administration
- Five (5) plus years of cloud tenant administration (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Five (5) plus years managing VMware ESX/ESXi or vSphere environments
- Three (3) plus years with configuration management tools – Ansible preferred
- NAS/SAN storage experience a plus (HPE and DELL, NetApp preferred)
- Commvault/Veeam/NetBackup experience a plus
