Position Summary

Our U.S.-based client is seeking an experienced and driven Tax Supervisor to join their advisory team. This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional who thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in tax compliance and planning, with a demonstrated ability to manage client engagements, supervise junior staff, and provide high-quality advisory services.

This role offers meaningful exposure to complex tax issues, leadership responsibilities, and the flexibility to support your personal and professional goals.

Key Responsibilities

- Serve as the lead on tax engagements for closely held businesses and high-net-worth individuals.
- Prepare complex federal and state tax returns with minimal supervision.
- Review small to mid-sized business and individual tax returns, ensuring accuracy and adherence to current tax laws.
- Provide tax planning strategies and projections for clients and their business operations.
- Assign tasks to junior staff and oversee day-to-day progress, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Conduct in-depth tax research on complex issues and communicate findings to internal teams and clients.
- Participate in consulting projects for private and publicly held U.S.-based companies as needed.
- Stay current with U.S. federal and state tax law changes and compliance updates.
- Complete required technical training and stay updated with industry best practices.

Candidate Profile

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Active CPA license preferred, but not required.
- Minimum of 5 years of recent U.S. public accounting experience, with a focus on tax.
- Prior experience must be with a U.S.-based consulting, advisory, or public accounting firm.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. tax methodologies, compliance, planning, and research.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Client-service mindset with a collaborative and proactive approach.
