As a Senior Non-Functional QA Analyst, you will be part of a team responsible for the testing and support of ICE's financial platforms. This position offers a combination of Non-functional testing and performance testing.

The ideal candidate will be result oriented, self-motivated, and have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. A background in quality assurance, scripting, automating repetitive tasks, and writing database queries would be helpful. This role requires frequent interactions with software developers, DBAs, functional QA, and other stakeholders in order to ensure delivery of a world class application to our users.

This role works closely with the ICE teams in the U.S. Therefore, qualified candidates are expected to overlap part of their working hours with the U.S. Eastern time zone.

Responsibilities

- Work with software developers to identify and understand non-functional requirements, including performance requirements, of the platform.
- Write clear, concise non-functional and performance test cases.
- Execute test cases to ensure that the system meets non-functional requirements including performance requirements.
- Write scripts and/or database queries needed to execute performance tests and analyze test results.
- Write bug reports and track the status of defects.
- Should be able to analyze and execute projects independently from start to end.

Knowledge And Experience

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information technology, or a related field
- 5+ years of software QA experience in a formal software development environment
- Functional QA and performance testing experience required.
- Experience with performance testing tools like jmeter, load runner, postman is must.
- Willing to transition to backend nonfunctional testing role.
- Server level testing experience is must.
- Experience with UNIX/Linux commands and tools.
- Proficiency with JIRA
- Strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to work with little supervision and under pressure.
- Scripting skills such as Bash or Python preferred.
- Database concepts plus SQL scripting preferred.
- Ability to Automate test cases is a plus
