The Academic Support Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring high-quality academic engagement, learner support, and seamless delivery of online programs at Alliance Online. The role requires strong academic orientation, excellent people management, and the ability to coordinate with faculty, students, and support teams to enhance learner experience and ensure academic excellence. Key Responsibilities 1. Academic Operations & Support - Coordinate end-to-end academic delivery for online degree and certification programs. - Ensure timely scheduling of classes, examinations, and assessments in line with academic calendars. - Facilitate orientation sessions, doubt-clearing sessions, and academic counselling for learners. - Monitor and track learner performance, progress, and completion rates. 2. Faculty Coordination - Collaborate with faculty members to ensure course readiness, quality of content, and learner engagement. - Support faculty in using the LMS and digital teaching tools effectively. - Coordinate guest lectures, industry sessions, and value-added learning activities. 3. Learner Experience & Support - Manage the learner academic helpdesk to provide prompt resolution of academic queries. - Guide students on course selection, assessments, academic policies, and progression requirements. - Conduct feedback sessions and implement strategies for continuous improvement in learner satisfaction. 4. Quality Assurance & Compliance - Ensure compliance with UGC/AICTE and institutional norms for online education. - Monitor academic quality metrics, including learner engagement, retention, and completion. - Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership review. 5. Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management - Lead and mentor the academic support team. - Liaise with technology, student services, and examination departments for seamless academic operations. - Work closely with leadership to design and implement innovative learner support strategies. Key Skills & Competencies - Strong academic orientation and understanding of online higher education. - Excellent communication, counselling, and interpersonal skills. - Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital teaching tools. - Ability to analyze learner data, generate insights, and recommend improvements. - Team management and cross-functional coordination skills. Qualifications & Experience - Degree in Education, Management, or related fields (PhD preferred but not mandatory). - 7–10 years of experience in academic operations, preferably in online or distance education. - Proven track record of managing academic support and learner engagement at scale.
