Job Title Senior DevOps Engineer PE Positions 12 Department Technology Engineering and Architecture and Innovation Location London Manchester Reports To Lead DevOps Engineer Direct Reports n a Background This is an exciting time to join Dentsu as we focus on becoming a 100 digital economy business through content media and commerce We are well placed to build capability scale and sustainable growth as a high performance business Our strategy is driven by our unique culture with one vision to innovate the way brands are built one set of values and a unique operating model which drives collaboration client focus and attention Within the Engineering and Architecture and Innovation function at Dentsu we are developing key initiative that will drive technology strategy rationalisation and impact The Dentsu Tech Platform Engineering initiative will be responsible for providing platform services frameworks blueprints and tools that enable all Dentsu development teams and beyond with the essential capabilities to rapidly deliver robust scalable and secure applications for use by our operational teams and our clients Role Overview As a Senior DevOps Engineer you will be a subject matter expert in DevOps practices and tooling You will have a background in infrastructure engineering and a track record of designing and delivering large-scale highly available systems You will be a strong advocate for the team and share assets ideas designs approaches and successes with other product delivery teams You will be able to balance your engineering skills with strategy and design leadership We re looking for engineers who bring fresh ideas from all areas including information retrieval distributed computing large-scale system design networking and data storage security artificial intelligence and containerisation We need our leaders to be versatile fearless free thinking innovative disruptive enthusiastic in taking on new problems and inspirational to their reports and peers alike Responsibilities Collaborate closely with leads to deliver secure reliable robust and scalable solutions Identify and implement DevOps engineering best practices in conjunction with your peers both within Platform Engineering and Technology as a whole Ensure the use of continuous delivery pipelines and tools to fully automate deployment testing delivery and management of development QA and production systems on a variety of cloud platforms Troubleshoot and take ownership of issues in development test and production environments Including performance optimization and continuous tuning Continuous learning and evaluation of the latest approaches tools and technologies Continually collaborate inspire and think outside of the box to conceive of and build solutions to place Dentsu ahead of the curve and be a leading contributor to DevOps innovation within the industry Key Skills and Experience Must be from a UNIX Linux sys-admin background Expert knowledge in container orchestration technologies emphasis on Kubernetes Expert knowledge of continuous integration and automated testing Experience in one or more popular CI platforms e g Jenkins Bamboo Travis Brigade Experience with Helm package manager Strong experience in at least one major cloud platform knowledge of Ansible and Terraform Strong TCP IP skills Good understanding of PKI Expert scripting skills bash sh ksh Experience in another language e g golang javascript python Perl Candidate Profile A thought leader not afraid to challenge and disrupt pre-conceived ideas and approaches A passionate advocate of automated testing and continuous deployment Ability to quickly learn and adapt to emerging techniques frameworks and platforms Able to switch easily between strategy leadership management and hands-on engineering responsibilities Excellent communication stakeholder management and collaboration skills Location DGS India - Mumbai - Thane Ashar IT Park Brand Dentsu Time Type Full time Contract Type Permanent
