Job Description Position: Java / J2EE Backend Engineer Location: Mohali(work from office) Experience Required: 8+ Years Department: Technology / Engineering About the Opportunity We are looking for an experienced Java/J2EE Backend Engineer to join our technology team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about building scalable, high-performance, and secure backend systems that power business-critical applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design robust solutions, optimize performance, and ensure smooth integration across systems. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain backend systems and microservices using Java/J2EE technologies - Build and manage RESTful APIs for application and system integration - Design and optimize database schemas to ensure efficient and secure data management - Troubleshoot and resolve performance, scalability, and reliability challenges - Implement security best practices and protect backend systems from vulnerabilities - Integrate with third-party services and external APIs - Ensure high code quality through unit and integration testing - Participate in code reviews and provide technical mentorship - Collaborate with internal teams to translate business needs into technical solutions Requirements - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field - Minimum 8 years of experience in backend software development using Java/J2EE - Strong knowledge of Java EE technologies such as Servlets, JSP, JDBC, JMS, and EJB - Expertise in Spring, Spring Boot, and Microservices Architecture - Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle and SQL optimization - Hands-on experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD pipelines - Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes - Exposure to Confluent Kafka Cloud, Azure Services, Redis Cache, and GIS will be an added advantage - Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills Why Join Us - Opportunity to work on cutting-edge backend technologies - Collaborative and inclusive work environment - Exposure to modern cloud and DevOps practices - A culture that values learning, innovation, and growth
