Job Description Mainframe Developer - AS Position Overview Job Title: Mainframe Developer Corporate Title: Associate Location: Pune, India Role Description - The business which this development team is supporting is the Lending department within Private Bank Germany. The whole life cycle for mortgage and consumer loans as well as securitization solutions for these loans is covered within the department and supported by the several teams. - In the last years we have developed a consumer Loan application. Which is also an account management and administration system to administer consumer credits (Batch and Online). It processes payment transactions using the internal Settlement Kernel. The backend based on COBOL and DB2 on the Mainframe and the Frontend is based on Plateau on eworkplace. - To extend and maintain these services, an experienced Mainframe Developer is required. This role includes the design, implementation and administration of application code to support business, functional and technical requirements. Furthermore, it includes the analysis of new requirements and supporting business analysts in specifying them in a way that drives reusability and assures that the overall designs are consistent with industry best practices (including scalability, availability, maintainability and flexibility) and in line with the overall lending architecture. In case of application issues, the developer should work on analysing those issues and to neutralize their impacts. - As an Engineer he is responsible for designing, developing and delivering significant components of engineering solutions to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of this role include active participation in the design of the components, ensuring that solutions are fit for purpose and maintainable, and can be integrated successfully into the overall solution and the mainframe environment. Your skills and experience Must Have - Deep knowledge of COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM - Significant development experience, working within an agile environment and using modern engineering practices and unit testing. - Ability to debug existing code and fix issue/problems. - Must aware at least one scheduling tool like OPC/Control-M/CA7 - Must have version control tool knowledge like SCLM/Endeavor tool. - Architecture and design approaches that support rapid, incremental, and iterative delivery, such as Domain Driven Design. - Deep knowledge of SQL/SPUFI/QMF and relational databases. - Good to have experience on FILE AID/ BMC Tool. - Must be aware about incident/change management. Soft skills - Help create a culture of learning and continuous improvement within the team and beyond. - Share skills and knowledge in a wide range for topics relating to software delivery. Experience / Qualifications: - Minimum 6-10 years relevant experience as Mainframe Developer and Maintenance within the IT support industry, experience in Banking Industry preferred.
