Key Responsibilities :- Design, develop, test, and implement mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, and VSAM.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure that applications meet business needs.- Perform system analysis, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.- Optimize and enhance existing mainframe applications for performance and maintainability.- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner.- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying and implementing process improvements.- Ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards and best practices.- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and advancements in mainframe : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.- 5 to 10 years of experience in mainframe development.- Proficient in COBOL, JCL, DB2, and VSAM.- Strong understanding of Agile Software Development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).- Experience with mainframe tools and utilities.- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.- Strong communication and collaboration skills.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Preferred Qualifications : - Experience in financial services or a related industry.- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.- Knowledge of additional mainframe programming languages and technologies.
