Position Overview: The Communication & Content Architect will play a key role in shaping how BJS communicates its mission, impact, and on-groundwork to diverse audiences. This role involves creating clear, compelling, and emotionally resonant content that highlights BJS’s initiatives across Nation. The position requires a strong command of language, creativity, and the ability to translate complex program information into simple, engaging, and meaningful narratives. The Content Writer will also be responsible for conceptualization of ideas, themes, and communication aspects, along with developing clear and concise briefs for designers, program teams, and other stakeholders. The role will work closely with program teams, designers, and leadership to develop content that strengthens visibility, supports stakeholder engagement, and enhances the organization’s overall content & communication requirements. Key Responsibilities: Content Creation - Develop clear, engaging content for websites, blogs, newsletters, social media, reports, and campaigns. - Write human-interest stories, case studies, and field narratives showcasing BJS’s impact. - Draft communication materials such as press releases, concept notes, event content, and multimedia scripts. Research & Coordination - Gather field insights, stories, data, and updates through regular coordination with program teams. - Conduct in-depth detailed research on education, water, disaster management, and social development topics. - Simplify technical information into easy-to-understand language. Editing & Quality Assurance - Edit and proofread content for accuracy, clarity, consistency, and Organizational alignment. - Ensure all content reflects BJS’s mission, tone, and communication standards. Digital & Social Media Support - Create social media content including posts, captions, and campaign material. - Optimize content for digital engagement and SEO. Documentation & Reporting - Prepare event summaries, impact notes, donor communication, and project documentation. - Maintain an organized content library and ensure timely delivery of communication materials. Collaboration & Execution - Coordinate with design, program, and leadership teams for content requirements. - Support field visits for on-ground stories, photos, and documentation when needed. Education and Experience: · Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in English, Hindi, Communications, or related fields. · A minimum of 4 years of professional content writing experience, ideally with a track record in the social/development sector. · Expertise in creating content for Ministries, senior leadership communication, NGO ecosystems, spiritual organizations, and social reform initiatives. · Expertise in crafting compelling narratives, high-level proposals, and program documentation focused on education, social impact, and community development. · Exceptional project management skills with the proven ability to juggle multiple projects, adhere to strict deadlines, and consistently deliver high-quality output. · A deep, verifiable commitment to social development and nation-building initiatives. Skills & Competencies Writing & Communication - Strong storytelling and content writing abilities - Digital and social media content writing - Report writing, newsletters, and communication briefs Research & Analytical Skills - Good research skills - Good Understanding of Social development-sector Digital Skills - SEO - CMS familiarity - Basic design skills (Canva) Professional Attributes - Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality output. - Effective communication and coordination with cross-functional teams. - Accountability and ownership of tasks from initiation to completion. - Adaptability and openness to feedback in a dynamic work environment.
