PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES FINANCIAL Accountability Supporting Actions Cash flow management Treasury management Manages and supervises all aspects of cash flow Forecasts periodic daily weekly and monthly cash flow requirements and executes daily financial decisions Directs monitors and trades investment portfolios including working capital escrow and other portfolios Manages long-term and short term investment strategies CUSTOMER Accountability Supporting Actions Coordination Query resolution Interacts with internal departments and understands their requirements Takes steps to ensure that sufficient cash-flows are available to meet user departments objectives Resolves queries raised by internal departments INTERNAL BUSINESS PROCESSES Accountability Supporting Actions Investment management Banking Borrowings Working capital management Compliance Awareness Documents the company s goals and risk tolerance Assesses risks return trade-offs Prepares and initiates bank transfers Prepares cheques bank transfer books requisitions from bank and subsequent voucher preparations Remits transfer funds and ensures maintenance of sufficient balance in various accounts Monitors bank service fees and address service quality issues Obtains secured and unsecured loans funds from financial institutions at favourable terms of credit Monitors loan accounts and ensure timely servicing of loan commitments Evaluates alternative long term borrowing strategies and makes recommendations in accordance with the capital structure guidelines Estimates working capital requirements and envisages any potential shortfalls Ensures timely availability of funds to meet working capital requirements Identifies and recommends cost effective means of meeting work capital requirements Ensures all financial disclosures are made on time and accurately Resolves any issues relating to compliance Educates all relevant departments about statutory requirements relevant processes and responds to their queries
