POSITION PURPOSEOverseeing BIM production and coordinating the production to ensure compliance with BIM processes and workflows within project BIM requirements You will lead a team of BIM Coordinators BIM Engineers and work closely with project teams to ensure efficient collaboration and adherence to BIM standards Your expertise in BIM coordination and advanced knowledge of BIM software will be vital in driving successful project outcomes Additionally you will be responsible for managing a team of BIM professionals fostering collaboration among project stakeholders and driving continuous capabilities The role is applicable for all disciplines Architecture Structure MEP and Civil KEY RESPONSIBILITIESBIM Project Implementation Develop and implement BIM standards protocols and workflows for design and construction projects Establish and enforce BIM best practices to ensure data integrity consistency and quality Define and execute the BIM execution plan for each project ensuring alignment with project goals and requirements Drive the adoption of BIM technologies tools and software platforms to enhance project efficiency and collaboration Establish and enforce BIM standards and best practices to maintain data integrity consistency and quality across projects Ensure the implementation of Open BIM standards such as IFC or BuildingSMART and international standards such as BS EN ISO 19650 or PAS1192 series Collaboration with Managers Clients Collaborate closely with Client Project Managers to align BIM processes with project timelines deliverables and budget requirements Provide regular updates to the Management team on the progress of BIM-related activities highlighting potential risks Progress Financial situation and proposing solutions to ensure project success Contribute to project planning resource management by defining BIM deliverables milestones and requirements Prepare project-specific BIM execution plans including project goals deliverables and timelines Lead and manage a team of BIM professionals providing guidance support and mentorship Ensures effective collaboration and coordination among project stakeholders including architects engineers contractors and subcontractors Facilitate regular team meetings and reviews to ensure project milestones and deliverables are met Foster a collaborative and innovative environment promoting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the team Configuration Maintenance and Administration of the project CDE Common Data Environment to enable the effective management tracking and monitoring of deliverables BIM Coordination and Clash Detection Oversee the coordination and clash detection process using BIM software and tools to identify and resolve conflicts and clashes among various design disciplines Review and validate BIM models to ensure compliance with project specifications codes and standards Conduct regular model audits and quality control checks to maintain accuracy and consistency in the BIM deliverables Training and Development Foster a culture of continuous learning and growth by providing training and mentorship to team members Elevate team members BIM proficiency and industry knowledge supporting their professional advancement Offer feedback guidance and opportunities for growth enhancing individual and collective expertise Support the development and delivery of Duncan Ross BIM training services Cost and Resource Management Collaborate with project managers to estimate BIM-related costs and allocate resources effectively Optimize resource utilization and manage budget constraints related to BIM implementation Identify opportunities to streamline BIM processes and reduce project costs Business Developments Identify new business opportunities within existing projects project extension new requirements consulting services etc and request support from Senior BIM Manager Support the Business Development Team with the technical proposal during bid stage Help identifying the Digital BIM scope from client RFP as well as identifying the risks QUALIFICATION STANDARDS KNOWLEDGE EXPERIENCEMinimum Skills or Experience Requirements A degree in Engineering Construction Management or Architecture or equivalent Minimum 6 years including supervisory skills BIM project experience Should also have had extensive exposure to Design and construction site office environment Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse project stakeholders Problem-solving mindset with the ability to analyze complex issues and provide innovative solutions Project management experience and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently Knowledge of industry standards codes and regulations related to BIM implementation such as knowledge of BS 8536 PAS 1192 ISO 19650 series Experience in multidisciplinaryABIM management Implementation on large scale projects Must be able to demonstrate an advanced level of knowledge and understanding of construction methods processes and systems Mandatory proficiency andHands-onon Authoring BIM software such as AutodeskRevit Navisworks and or Rhino AecoSIM Mandatory proficiency on Coordination software such AutodeskNavisworks Manage BIM Track Revizto or others Mandatory proficiency onBIM360andACONEXEnvironment Proficiency on Dynamo scripting tools would be of advantage Professional certifications in BIM such as Autodesk Certified Professional are desirable Vertical Digital Engineering
