Job Title New Product Development NPD Specialist - Packaging Innovation Location Dombivli Department Product Development Reports To Product Development Manager Director of Innovation Job Overview We are seeking a talented and innovative New Product Development NPD Specialist to join our dynamic team In this role you will be responsible for the ideation design and development of cutting-edge packaging solutions with a strong focus on enhancing the functionality and aesthetics of products such as bottle caps boxes and other packaging components You will work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing design engineering and production to bring forward-thinking packaging concepts to life and continuously improve existing packaging designs to meet evolving market trends Key Responsibilities Innovative Packaging Design Lead the development of new and creative packaging solutions including bottle caps boxes and other related components that align with consumer needs and trends Product Design Improvement Identify areas for design enhancement in current product packaging to improve user experience sustainability cost-effectiveness and brand impact Prototyping Testing Oversee the prototyping and testing of new packaging designs to ensure functionality durability and alignment with product specifications and consumer expectations Cross-functional Collaboration Work closely with marketing production R D and supply chain teams to ensure smooth integration of new packaging designs into production processes and product launches Trend Analysis Market Research Conduct in-depth research on current market trends consumer preferences and competitor offerings to inform the development of innovative packaging solutions Sustainability Focus Explore and implement eco-friendly packaging materials and processes to reduce environmental impact and align with sustainability goals Project Management Manage multiple packaging development projects simultaneously ensuring timelines budgets and quality standards are met Supplier Vendor Coordination Collaborate with external packaging suppliers and manufacturers to source materials evaluate new technologies and ensure the feasibility of new packaging solutions Compliance Standards Ensure that all new packaging designs comply with industry standards regulations and quality control requirements Qualifications Skills Education Bachelor s degree in Packaging Engineering Industrial Design Product Design or a related field Master s degree is a plus Experience o 3-5 years of experience in product development specifically within packaging design or a related field o Proven experience with packaging design software e g Adobe Creative Suite SolidWorks ArtiosCAD and prototyping tools Skills Competencies o Strong creativity and ability to think outside the box when it comes to packaging innovation o Excellent understanding of materials production techniques and manufacturing processes related to packaging o Ability to conduct market research and consumer testing for packaging solutions o Strong project management skills with an ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously o Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams o Knowledge of sustainability practices and trends within packaging design Preferred Qualifications Experience with sustainable packaging innovations Knowledge of regulatory requirements for packaging including safety and environmental guidelines Hands-on experience with 3D printing and rapid prototyping Why Join Us Work with a creative forward-thinking team that is focused on driving innovation Opportunity to shape the future of our product packaging and contribute to sustainability efforts Competitive salary and benefits package A culture of continuous learning and development Job Type Full-time Pay 65 000 00 - 70 000 00 per month Benefits Provident Fund Work Location In person
