Functional Role (Job Description)

An Individual is responsible for performing Invoicing & other related activities for clients across various countries. Also includes providing support to internal and external stakeholders to maximize the operations effectiveness and accuracy. Also, it is accountable to transition new business by producing a high quality of work with meticulous attention to detail.
Additionally, performs a variety of analytical functions including the review and management of large data sets to ensure billing accuracy and compliance with internal controls.

Education Background

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance or Accounting or related field.

- MBA/ICWA/CA (Intermediate) a plus.

Work Experience

- Must have 8 to 10 years in Order to Cash process.
- Prior experience in Invoicing roles with hands on billing application knowledge.
- Proficiency in multiple ERP systems like Oracle, SAP, Salesforce, Power BI, Service Now etc.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including MS Excel and MS Word.

- Experience in auditing processes, financial information and systems.
- Experience with tools such as SQL.

Key Responsibilities

- Drive billing strategy aligned with organizational goals and financial targets.
- Lead the billing operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments (Finance, Legal, IT, Compliance) to ensure end-to-end billing integrity.
- Identify and lead automation initiatives to improve billing efficiency, reduce manual effort, and enhance control.
- Manage KPIs and SLAs, ensuring performance metrics are met and exceeded.
- Champion process improvement projects, including reengineering workflows and implementing best practices.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and credits in accordance with client terms.
- Monitor and correct data discrepancies that impact billing quality and financial reporting.
- Review and approve financial and statistical reports prepared by the billing team.
- Oversee reconciliation of financial records, ensuring data integrity across systems.
- Ensure system-wide reconciliations and assurance checks are performed accurately and on schedule.
- Support implementation and integration of billing systems, ensuring minimal disruption and full compliance.
- Maintain internal controls in line with SOX and other regulatory frameworks.
- Ensure all audits are managed effectively, with no deficiencies reported.
- Enforce written billing policies and procedures, updating them as needed.
- Report non-compliance issues and initiate corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Introduce business controls to strengthen audit readiness and reduce operational risk.
- Act as the primary point of contact for billing-related escalations and strategic discussions.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership based on billing trends and performance data.
- Communicate changes in billing policies, systems, or processes to relevant stakeholders.
- Coordinate with external auditors and consultants during financial reviews and system upgrades.
