Job Summary:The Desktop Support Engineer is responsible for providing technical support to end-users, ensuring smooth operation of desktop systems, hardware, software, and network connectivity. The role involves troubleshooting, installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT infrastructure within the organization.Roles and Responsibilities:Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person.Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, including OS and application-related problems.Manage user accounts, permissions, and profiles in Active Directory (AD).Support Microsoft 365 / Outlook configuration and troubleshooting.Perform system updates, patch management, and antivirus deployment.Ensure proper functioning of LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi connectivity.Maintain inventory of IT assets and ensure timely replacement or upgrades.Coordinate with vendors for warranty and hardware replacements.Escalate complex issues to Level 2/3 or network/system admins as required.Document incidents, resolutions, and IT procedures for future reference.Support conference room equipment, audio-video setups, and remote access tools.
