Summary As Field Service Technical Advising Specialist-Steam Turbine you shall be responsible for Execution of Steam turbine outages of Own fleets as well as Other OEM fleets in SQDC Safety-Quality-Delivery-Cost sequence Interacting with vendor customer for planning and execution of the outages Ensuring compliance as per company standards laws regulations during outage execution Roles and Responsibilities Working as Field service specialist for assigned Steam turbine outages including dealing with all technical safety matters related to outage execution owning the customer relationship during outage duration and driving customer issues resolution within outage schedule Align towards outage execution excellence including cross-functional interaction with Engineering Sourcing Project Management Safety and Quality functions to achieve outage execution KPIs and customer satisfaction Ensure implementation regular rigor towards site DMS to achieve field service outage milestones Ensure consistent application of business tools and processes applicable to the scope of outages being executed Use technical experience for data analysis to support recommendations Collaborates with internal and cross-functional resources to arrive at conclusions Capture report implement outages best practices Share lessons learned with tangible outcomes deliverables Required Qualifications Bachelor s degree Diploma in Mechanical engineering or equivalent Engineering stream from an accredited university or college At least 6 years of relevant field service experience for graduate engineer or 8 years of relevant field service experience for Diploma engineers in outage execution of steam turbines preferably on large steam turbines of 100 MW and above Desired Characteristics Technical Skills Should have sound fundamentals and knowledge on Steam turbine technologies with operational aspects of various fleets Proficiency in MS Office applications MS word MS excel MS Power Point etc Sound understanding of time cost control for assigned services outage execution related site activities of Steam Turbine Overhaul within assigned time cost estimates Exposure and knowledge on scheduling packages such as MS Project Primavera shall be preferred Exposure to outage execution process like outage planning outage execution including site mobilization execution of job along-with designated vendors outage closure Outage feedback Lesson Learnt Behavioural Skills Good observational and analytical skills Sense of Urgency Systematic approach to understand problems learn and implement solutions A good get along with colleagues vendors and Customers Mobility Requirements Extensive travelling to thermal power stations mainly in India for outage execution Shall be operating from Home Desired Location under work from Remote policy for GE Vernova Technical Field Advisors Additional Information Relocation Assistance Provided Yes
