We are proud of our culture and have recently been officially certified as a Great Place to Work Job Purpose An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of HR to join Oxford International Education Services, a rapidly growing and evolving company in international education. This role would suit someone who wants to make their mark in a challenging and fast-paced environment, delivering high-quality and impactful decision making. We are excited to be hiring for this newly created role in India to support our rapid growth and delivery of new strategic initiatives. This role is part of the Global People Team and will partner with the India based leadership team to drive the strategic and operational people agenda focussing on creating an exceptional employee experience. Main duties and Responsibilities - Partner with the local senior leadership team to drive people plans. - Provide advice and guidance on Indian local employment practices and legislation, in the context of global people initiatives. - Coach and support leaders and managers on dealing with employee relations cases and engaging specialist advisors where required. - Provide local oversight of transactional people processes including preparation and issuing of all new hire paperwork and owning the onboarding process including all background checks, immigration checks etc. Collaborate with Group Head of People Operations to ensure alignment with global operations framework. - Oversee the local induction process for all new hires ensuring that all relevant compliance trainings are completed, offboarding all leavers including facilitation of exits surveys / exit interviews. - Jointly accountability for the accurate processing of all payroll changes in India. - Collaborate with group Talent Acquisition lead to ensure an effective candidate experience and high quality hires. - Collaborate with group Learning & Development lead to ensure learning is at the heart of the employee experience. - Oversee HR Information Systems (HRIS) to ensure accurate employee data management and reporting and group people KPI reporting. - Ensure full compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations - Manage HR audits and reviews, ensuring continuous improvement in processes - Implement risk mitigation strategies related to HR operations (such as reducing errors in payroll, compliance with legal standards) - Manage relationships with local third-party vendors such as benefits providers, payroll systems, and HR service providers. - Coordination of the compensation and performance and development cycle. Driving local best practice creating a positive candidate and employee experience to attraction and retention of key talent. - Role models and embeds the company Values in all aspects of the local employee experience. - Accountable for India HR compliance. - Leads and/or participates in key global people projects that support the delivery of the Corporate Objectives and the three-year plan. Person Specification Qualifications - Graduate of a relevant postsecondary or postgraduate program with a focus in HR management. Experience, Skills and Knowledge - Extensive experience of working in a HR role; - Strong experience as a Human Resources Generalist - Member of a professional HR body - Self-starter with a can do attitude driving change across the organisation - Experience of managing a team - Experience of working in an MNC / Higher Education Environment - Working as part of the wider HR team to deliver the best employee experience. - Confident in developing policies and processes - Data led with and experience working with HRMS and Microsoft Suite of Products - Excellent knowledge of local employment legislation and best practice - Exceptional interpersonal skills, and professionalism - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Ability to manage multiple assignments and familiar with running projects. - Excellent planning, organization, and prioritizing skills - Role models the values. - Knowledge of the education sector (Desirable) - A professional marketing qualification.
